RedZepperin
Use Rotten Tomatoes for reviews. Don't think I've ever seen a film on there that is over 80% on the Tomatometer that I haven't liked. Try "Amour". 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Worst film I've seen in ages! chalky
I'll suggest a Shane Meadows movie Dead Mans Shoes. A very dark, powerful, compelling British vengeance type movie with some great acting. Well worth checking out. One of my favourite films that. Have you seen "room for romeo brass"? A must see if your a fan of DMS.... I'll add Harry Brown to this list also....
TBW
Battle Royal - 1 & 2 (Japanese) Battle Royale 2 is shite. TBW
Something different that's not been posted already - Requiem For A Dream. Excellent film about the uncontrollable spiral of drug addiction, very uncomfortable watching in places, but superbly done. I also highly recommend Tsotsi - a South African film with English subtitles about a young criminal who shoots a woman and hijacks a car, not knowing that her baby is in the car. The film follows the next few days and the aftermath - very powerful and well acted. And to finish the list of lesser known films - Reign Over Me - the only film I've ever seen Adam Sandler play a non-comedy role. He plays a man who lost his wife in 9/11 who has been mentally affected by what's happened - highly recommended, if only to see another side to Sandler. To his credit he plays the part very well. Haha, just noticed this. Two of my six are in your three. Another film Sandler plays a none too comedic role in is Punch-Drunk Love.

Oops
Hot Fuzz is the best film ever made. I've watched it so many times, and it still makes me laugh out loud. Lita For Congo
The General is a classic, Irish crime film with Brendon Gleeson. Its in black and white for some reason even though it was released in the late 90s but dont let that put you off. Casino, Blow and Goodfellas are also class, although they are quite well known. Catch me if you can, Blood Diamond and The Beach for your Leonardo Di Caprio fix, personally my favourite actor.

Gazred
Many i like have already been mentioned so..... Shutter (Thai) Forget the US remake, the original is a classic supernatural movie with plenty of jumps. 300 - If only for the visuals, stunning looking movie. Stir Crazy - Still cracks me up to this day. Old John Hughes stuff, Weird Science, Breakfast Club, Feris Bueller's Day Off, National Lampoons Vactions. Pretty much any Jackie Chan movie. Red_Jim
Requiem for a Dream Fargo Moon & The Fountain (both great visually and soundtracked - Clint Mansell, also composer for Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler. The Fountain is a bloody weird film but I enjoyed it!) The Departed Inception One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest The Shining Let The Right One In (Swedish version) Battle Royale Run Lola Run Into the Wild Blood Diamond Black Swan I like pretty dark movies, ones that play on your mind. Requiem for a Dream is one of the most harrowing, but arguably my favourite.
