In the Net
I know that they've sold their allocation of tickets, but haven't heard any mention of it being a bubble, although it's a Category A to cover the extra policing costs. No doubt a few dinosaurs will be dusting off their DM's.

sglosbcfc
I am going to predict....yes there will be. Oops don't forget they are a family club so all the blame must be placed on the shoulders of the Welshmen.
Barrs Court Red
Apparently some "independent" coaches are coming across. I assume vehicles rather than rouge football coaches looking to set up some impromptu football training on Glos Road. If Newport really wanted a row they would sneak to Severn Tunnel Junction and get the train to Filton.

1960maaan
It's NEWPORT ffs, hardly Baadiff ! Chatting to at a Braintree match , when they played in the league below Conference and Newport they were going for promotion and took 12 coaches. Ran amok around the Town, which if you've been to Braintree hardly seems worth the effort. Could get quite lively back in the day , and it's their biggest away game of the year if not longer. 1960maaan
I seem to remember one year there were Swansea and Cardiff in different parts of the ground , and City trying to rip down some temporary fencing.
Admin phantom Posted January 24, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 It's NEWPORT ffs, hardly Baadiff ! You are showing your age here. When Newport were a league club they were as bad if not worse than Cardiff. Like others have put, they have had plenty of run ins, during their rise up through the non leagues. Can remember when they played Weston it was moved to a Thursday at 6pm to avoid trouble, but of course people just spent the day on the lash. The funny thing that day Newport were given a 50/50 split on the segregation as they brought so many over.

wendyredredrobin
I don't think Newport have enough fans to cause any serious trouble - the Gas have barely sufficient either.

Phileas Fogg
I don't think Newport have enough fans to cause any serious trouble - the Gas have barely sufficient either. So by that logic Ipswich, Watford, Arsenal or Norwich games (with a lot more fans) must be a nightmare for trouble! It's in the mentality not the number of supporters

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
In today's terms, Rovers vs Newport is just us vs Cardiff on a smaller scale. If anything does happen between these two tomorrow you can bet both your bollocks that the 'noble Gas warriors' will only be acting in self defence, protecting wimmin, children and Tote honour. That's the line they usually come out with.
