Dollymarie
Hello everyone. As most of you know, our very own Sammy Baldock won the league one golden boot for the most goals scored in league one. However the league no longer award the winner an actual golden boot, so after speaking with the club, the Supporters Club and Trust have decided to raise the funds to present him with one. We did similar with a certain *ahem* Micky Naynard a few years back. Here's the one we got for him. We could get him one like this which I will get engraved for him, or one like the one in the link below.http://www.trophystore.co.uk/high-gloss-gold-ceramic-football-boot-trophy-23cm Any money will be gratefully received, the link to donate can be found here, any monies left over will be donated to the community trust.https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=V7VP4NPZBRGQL

Think Mickys was the first year, hence why we decided to do something instead to make sure he gets an award.
Antman
have to say that first one pictured looks quite grim (is that a pile of bodies crushed under the boot? and the club wont do this themselves because....? anyhow, are there alternatives? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/The-Golden-Boot-Award-football-shoes-World-Cup-Trophy-Replica/1161262281.html - type or http://www.sportandcorporateawards.com/golden-boot-trophies-c-32_94/puma-king-golden-football-boot-rf0219-p-1548.html?zenid=rlica54086lic9ijm8rhohb4o6

Webzcas
How much does he get paid a week, how much do footballers get paid? Surely money raised by supporters should go to far more worthwhile causes that benefit us.
JM91
How much does he get paid a week, how much do footballers get paid? Surely money raised by supporters should go to far more worthwhile causes that benefit us. Seconded. He's a grown man and if he were so egotistical that he needed a trophy (I would hope and presume he isn't) then he could surely pay himself. Supporters Trust do a tremendous amount of good work, but to be honest raising money so that a well-paid professional footballer can let a trophy gather dust in a pot-pourri bowl in the pantry adjoining the seventh bedroom of his Clifton mansion is not a good cause. And a side note, Assombalonga will probably end up being top scorer anyway.
Dollymarie
It's all over as the play off games don't count. As I said, the forum raised money for one in the past and it would be nice to do the same again. If you don't want to contribute that's absolutely fine, it would just be a nice thing for the fans to do that's all.
Dollymarie
Is Louis getting a golden anything for all his years of service ? Louis had a lifetime achievement award from the Supporters Club and Trust at the end of last season, as we didn't give out player of the year awards following our relegation

RedM
Shame, but I'm sure it could be re-badged! Maybe we need a Bristol City one that can be passed from player to player each year and their names added to it. Seriously, it's pretty shocking the FA don't honour the achievement, oh wait, it's not been won by a Premiership player has it...
