Some Fans Behaviour...

I'm sure if you went to Barnsley like myself you would be disappointed with the group of fans sat near the front today. One fool tried to invade the pitch before being Rugby tackled subsequently all his other friends got involved... Another arrested for having narcotics on him at half time. Thought today was a brilliant advert for league one football besides that , we weren't at our best but ground out a point and the second half was nail biting to say at the least! What were your takes on this?

Regardless of any heavy handedness it was still avoidable and unnecessary. Doubt that many other clubs will catch wind of this or the other arrest which is good , don't want he club having a bad reputation etc. Ultimately It doesn't bother me really just feel that it's not appropriate around children , a few left with parents or moved after it. Probably sound like such a killjoy

We've got one of the worst reputations in the country mate, correctly so too.

Today was nothing, absolute tiny minority. I was trying to pull a city fan away from a steward who had him by the throat, like port vale earlier in the season the stewarding was over zealous and ended in violence, although today was handbags.

All in all a lovely bunch up there, need to sort the dog shit out in the car park though.

, so why feel the need to bring it to the public's attention on a public form?  Seems a little strange thing to do judging by this post?!  Now many people know about it, well done, you have done just what you apparently didn't want want to happen!

Craziness!!

So of the 500 odd we had there you think word won't get out about it at all? Doubt it can be swept straight under the carpet... Ok then of course it can I'm clearly deluded.

Of course word has got out, you put it out!

We'd just equalised - at our end - and a couple of blokes jumped over the barrier to dance around.

Sadly for them the barrier they jumped over was festooned with signs pointing out that crossing the barrier was a criminal offence. Hence the moves to detain the offenders. It was all rather pointless and heavy handed.

The group of guys near the front are exactly the sort of people our club could do without when they behave like that. Admittedly the stewards at some clubs don't help themselves sometimes with a slightly over zealous approach, but why certain individuals think it's acceptable to enter the pitch I have no idea. They quite clearly aren't the brightest bunch but they know exactly what is going to happen and then start trying to act as if they have been wronged in some way when their mate gets escorted out the ground. Plus in fairness to the stewards if I had a bunch of drunk and aggressive guys in my face I would probably react a little more strongly than might really be required if I felt threatened.

Just a shame they can't come to the football, have a few drinks with their mates and put their energy into cheering the team on the pitch, as opposed to looking for trouble.

I have to say that I am more concerned with the game and result as opposed to a few idiots.

That makes me all the more cross with Lindleys catering at Ashton Gate- you can't get any before the match let alone at half time.

Idiots?

Harsh considering how many who commemted were actually there.

I'd say a few lads who'd had a couple too many.

I'd call the fans singing we are unbeatable as idiots, not to mention tempting fate.

I'd say pitch invasions and doing drugs is idiotic rather than a fate-tempting sing song but each to his own!

Perhaps not idiots but cringeworthy, although true presently, as we could have 3 or 4-1 down before our equaliser

For the main part our fans were great today. But if nothing else, it doesn't reflect very well on the collective IQ of our fans that two of the literally jumped over a massive sign that states 'IT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE TO CROSS THIS POINT' and then got incredibly upset that some stewards tried to remove them- heavy handed or not. We'd just gone 1-0 up against ******* Barnsley, not won the FA cup

Every club has them, usually under 21s thinking they are the big I am.

sorry to undermine your case but they weren't kids. They were over enthusiastic men.

As for Blackpool. I've been critical of the Lansdowns in the past, I'd much rather have them in charge than most other footballing dynasties.
