...
Is it true that our forum is being hacked by 1,000's of jealous Arsenal and Man U fans? Are we, as a club, guilty of rubbing their fans noses in it with these pictures? I, for one, have been unable to stand up properly since my first peak. Pure, utter meccano porn . 1960maaan
The Atyeo going to look well weird when all 3 sides are done. Looking at the drawings I would not be surprised if the powers that be, were not looking into buying the terrace to finish the fourth side. The plan is crying out for an Atyeo redevelopment to bring it in line. I guess there may be a chance in the future.

...
Thanks for your considered reply billy. 27,000 will be 'about right' for a Championship Club. "About half way up division 2 (now the Championship) - that is where Bristol City should be" It hurt back in the 1970's - and it still hurts now, does'nt it? 27,000 ........... 'not bad' .......... Good job RLLad, ... Manon, what are you on? , stupid suggestion for at least two reasons: 1. Why would the stadium have a submarine, let alone Otib having a forum dedicated to them? 2. RLLads location shots are great but I doubt he has a waterproof camera or diving gear, doh, blige Manon think before coming out with such rubbish. The trouble with buying all the houses to rebuild the atyeo is that its an expensive job for adding what will mainly be cheap seats. Until we regularly fill the ground there won't be any point. I wouldn't be surprised if the club is buying them as they come on the market then renting them out to keep their options open though.

Guest
Only takes one person to hold out on the houses front... we'd be held to complete ransom IMO.If we needed more than 27k capacity then we'd be doing pretty well...
Kid in the Riot
27k is absolutely fine for us and the rugby for the time being. Who know what the landscape will be like in another 20 years when the Dolman and Atyeo are even more tired. Could be opportunity for a site for a purpose built stadium elsewhere in the city, you just never know...

Lew-T
27,000 is more than enough for us, at the moment. Give it 10-20 years it could change, hopefully that's the case anyway.

semblar
With absolutely no bearing on any hypothetical future expansion plan, the thought of the 'Shedman shed' enshrined in mid-concourse of a huge stand - banners and all - is kind of amusing

EstoniaTallinnRed
Neither did I, but I've got a 16mm scale outdoor line now, so "yah boo sucks" to you Does Horace drive it? I am jealous, the problem is I live in a 3rd floor apartment thats why I only have a N gauge layout. I have Isambard Kingdom Brunel a class 47 diesel, also Britannia and the usual HST set all running in 4 feet x 2 feet, very compact.

I don't know if that's true or just a story that's been passed on down the years. What I will say is there isn't the same limitation on building a taller stand at the Atyeo end as once was.. WhistleHappy
If the club have any plans regarding a BCFC museum of some sort I'd think one exhibit worth thinking about including would be Shedman's shed & banners. Strangely enough it has acquired a sort of cult status and I can see it becoming historically interesting to future Reds and football fans in general. The Bristol City 'shed-man shed' - circa 2014 as seen on TV and newspapers othe time - and into the hearts and minds of City supporters during the fabulous Cotts years & revelopment of the Gate - a fascinating exhibit. (could earn Shedman a few bob too )

Shedman
Erm, Don't shoot the messenger on this one, purely based on a rumour overheard in a public lavatory I fear the latter part of your property acquiring plan may already be virtually dead in the water. You see Shedman (despite what some people say) is no fool. It appears steps have been taken to protect his interests in anticipation of just such a move regarding properties behind the South East Shed End. There should be no insurmountable problems acquiring the desired houses in question except for one possible fly in the ointment.... (Almost as unbelievable as a legally upheld claim that a local eyesore and disused rubbish tip is infact a village green.. yes ridiculous as it seems that is a fact and it led to a multimillion pound plan to provide much needed state of the art facilities not only for a football club but also a citywide income generating asset being consigned ironically to the recycling bin -due to said declaration of village green status.) ... that 'fly', it is rumoured, are steps being taken by Shedman to pre-empt and frustrate any future desires by the football club in thiusv direction. Through a crack in a bog house door hushed tones were overheard discussing ongoing talks between Shedman & English Hairytadge regarding, you being gonna believe this fellow shitheads, Grade 2 Listing for a garden shed, a shed that stands slapbang in the middle of any such future development of Ashton Gate in Sherman's direction. If granted Grade 2 status the Shed can indeed be sold along with any other properties but any developments will have to be built around the protected structure and would I fear look a little odd within the interior bowels of a huge modern football stadium stand.. I know its a long shot but stranger things have happened, just look to the aforementioned AV 'village green' status. It appears, according to the overheard shithouse exchange, that the trecherous so-calledsupporter known by the codename Shedman claims to Hairytadger officials that this otherwise to all intents & purposes ordinary garden shed has historically been used and currently is Britain's smallest Pro football stand - as such it is of special National interest & importance, thus deserving of protective Hairytadge Listing. Like I said only a bog-house door rumour but who knows? .. & what do we really know about this rather odd 'Shedman' character?.. Something doesn't smell right to me, creosote perhaps? . Shedman
This post is made without prejudice: I am currently in talks with Landsdong with a view to acquiring 51% of the club. Upon the successful take over I will leave the current demolished east end undeveloped for personal reasons. I will wear my trousers 45% higher than before. The current badge will be replaced with a robin perched upon a shed. And lastly the home colours of the kit will be changed to creosote brown - considered a lucky colour within my Shed Circle.
