George Ferguson Caught Speeding [Merged]

You mean principled Red Dawn?, the same Dawn who voted in favour of the 2003 Iraq war, when she had a nice pension expanding cabinet job, that Dawn?.

That's the one. From the left wing firebrand that unseated Michael Cocks to the apolitical Deputy Speaker. Some journey that...

Seems that Dawn Primarolo is thinking about it as well. Lucky old Bristol eh? Not a choice but a dilemma IMO.

Rees has thrown his hat in again so Labour have some thinking to do who they want to stand.

The candidate who offers to get rid of 20mph zones, RPZs and pointless traffic lights is sure to win by a landslide..

Absolute belter of the highest order.

Funny how he's deliberately making it as miserable as possible for people to use a car in this city - assuming everyone lives a lifestyle that's compatible with cycling everywhere - but didn't fancy getting on two wheels to drag his hypocritical arse back from Avonmouth, the massive dung-faced cock womble.

The ultimate irony about the mayor in the red trousers. His current bus plans are being thwarted by tree huggers. Just wait till they manage to turn the site into a village green.

He told the BBC: "Speed limits are there for a good purpose. We should respect them, and I do respect them."

Clearly you don't respect them George, or you wouldn't have been speeding.

He has said slower speed limits can improve safety and reduce the "negative impact of anti-social speeding to our communities".

Slower speed limits do nothing to improve safety if you're going to ignore the slower limits, George.

oh, and this wins best insult of the day: :laughcont:

He said he would pay the fine as well which says to me he's been caught before. Surely if he could he would take the speed awareness course and milk the publicity! The blokes an arrogant tosser

Actually, he says 'he will pay the fine, from his own pocket'.

What an odd thing to say? As opposed to putting in a claim for it?

I'm not so sure.

Labour could put up a monkey, who spends the election campaign throwing shit at passers by, and still pick up votes.  The Green candidate will also pick up votes regardless.

That doesn't leave much for independents with principled ideas, given the abysmal turn out at the polls. Infact apart from Rees and Red Trousers none of the other candidates got any attention at all last time round.
