Cameron Carter-Vicars

Very highly rated. Surprised it's a permanent deal. Will be back up first 11 if true.

And from Spurs website.

Talented centre-half who enjoyed a season of progress in 2014-15.

He played for the USA Under-20 national team at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand in the summer of 2015 and has also played for the States at Under-18 and Under-23 levels while only 16.

Part of our Premier League Under-18 Champions Cup-winning side in September, 2014, he scored once in six appearances for us in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League last term and played 10 times for the Under-21s.

He also started five times in the FA Youth Cup as we made it through to the semi-finals.

Previously, Cameron made 28 appearances for our Under-18s, scoring twice, in 2013-14 despite still being a schoolboy.

Born and raised in Southend, he attended Eastwood Academy and joined the club aged 11.

Apparently Cotts asked if him if there was any chance of bringing a few of the disciples with him

Sadly 'The Reverend' explained

Andrew, Bartholemew and James the Elder had signed for QPR

James, John The Lesser and Judas had joined Hull

All the forwards Jude, Matthew , Peter and Philip had joined Kenny Jackett at Wolves

Simon the Zealot had agreed terms with Middlesborough

And

Thomas had turned down the chance of Champions League Football and was in advanced talks with Brighton

Here he is playing in the FA Youth Cup against Chelsea. Keeps a clean sheet, and by the look of it, a defensive masterclass. He looks nimble, good in the air, good at positioning, comfortable with the ball on the floor, not afraid of a big challenge.

All based on one game though. Also not as sure about how strong he is.

Fair play Hydey

One of the most highly rated youth players in England leaving Spurs to come to us?....... permanently? That would be a coup.

If it doesn't happen i will stand back and watch the otib optimism nosedive into depression, anger and personal attacks.

Surely if this kids that highly rated Spurs would only let him come to us on a season long loan at best.

That's what you would expect. They may be happy though to just stick a very large sell on % or buy back option, take a couple of million now and let another club bring him through.

Heard today that the summer transfer problems are predominantly down to agents and players trying to ring the club with regards to approaches made to them , only to be told by automated message ''mailbox 6001 full........you will be redirected..............beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep' (you have been cut off)

Shame really

Quite astonishingly BobBob, this isn't too far from the truth.

One of the stand out players in this summers FIFA U20 championship, played U23 for USA already as a 16 year old.

We're crossing our fingers that we've got another Ledley King on our hands, though that was the hope with Steven Caulker as well - attitude and luck plays its part.

Solid built centre back.

Jumping the gun on OTIB? Not a chance.

Getting ahead of ourselves posting a message on Twitter about our imminent arrival. Surely not?
