Mr Popodopolous
I fear it is Yorkshire's title. Seems chaseable at Lords in the sun, when everything is on the line. Fairly generous declaration in the circs too! Edited September 23, 2016 by Mr Popodopolous

'Orns
I'm not a Somerset fan, but this doesn't sit well with me. Checked the scores before a meeting, and when I came out about 30 mins later, 100+ added to the total As others have said, declarations have been 'helped' in this way for years, and nothing will change that, but Middlesex have loaded the barrel are pointing it at their own feet and about to pull the trigger. Fought all year to get this close and left themselves nowhere near enough time to bowl out Yorkshire I cannot put into words how much I hope you guys win the title

It`s because both teams are in on it is what makes it different from the time wasting in football comparison and that`s what I feel uncomfortable with.
Mr Popodopolous
It is in fact 240 in 40 as it is at Tea which is early! So the two overs for change over will not be lost I reckon. 240 in 40 is so generous, at Lords, flat pitch in the sun! ollywhyte
Is it just me... but why wouldn't you spend one last over of abolsutely shafting the ball before declaring. 240 is so generous
ralphindevon
What a shame it's ended in such a dreadful game with a joke ending. i presume they've agreed to share prize money as long as Somerset don't win.
Super
Looks like players aren't happy. jimallenby @jimallenby 7m They deserve rain at lords after this.
Mr Popodopolous
I do not usually advocate it but would there be any scope for legal action against the outcome- lost revenue, lost prize money, lost prestige- you cannot have a Championship decided like this, it's a total farce. It's disgusting. Edited September 23, 2016 by Mr Popodopolous
Super
Really can't see how we can win this, the only way Yorkshire won't win this is if they are bowled out.
Lanterne Rouge
And if they are, Middlesex win so that`s that as well. 3 minutes ago, Super said: Really can't see how we can win this, the only way Yorkshire won't win this is if they are bowled out.
Mr Popodopolous
Commentator said Middlesex and Yorkshire best two teams on country in his view!? Hardly- Somerset destroyed Yorkshire at Headingley and made too generous a declaration v Middlesex or would be home and hosed tbh but really Middlesex and Yorkshire the best two sides? And Its Smith
Muggings and rapes have gone on this God was a boy. Doesn't make it right. Might be a bit strong but I'm pissed off.
Lanterne Rouge
The only hope is that Yorkshire get closish with about 8 overs to go but without losing too many wickets and Middlesex go totally defensive to try and get the draw. They easily could be. Yorkshire won't stop going for this even if they're down to the last wicket. No difference to them whether they draw or lose - if they don't win, they've lost the Championship, finished third and got the prize money for third place. Kid in the Riot
Wasn't it always the case that one of, or both teams, would try and set this match up for a result today? We can't be surprised this has happened, even if morally it's a bit dubious.
