Battled hard chased every single ball. Japan were made to look like rag ass Rovers. How we have lost that I have no idea but in defeat I feel an amazing amount of pride. A British male 1500 metre runner would beat his female counterpart. The England men's rugby team would beat the women's. Andy Murray would smash Laura Robson. Steve Backley threw the javelin further than Fatima Whitbread. Steve Redgrave can row his boat quicker than any female rower. Bradley Wiggins can ride a bike round a track faster than Laura Trott. Etc, etc, etc. Men's football and women's football are not comparable. Just like all sports. The men would win by a long margin. Is that why women only play best of three sets at Wimbledon? Play the same or take less reward. As for the football ladies, football can be a very cruel game at all levels. The kick in the teeth is very painful but I guess you play (and watch) with the hope and belief that one day it will you experiencing the highs. Then it is indeed the Beautiful Game.
