I'm glad I'll be lying by the pool for 4 days! !Was there a couple of weeks ago. Try 42 degrees! Good thing about it was the 'cooling' breeze off the Atlantic. For the more discerning visitors head to the west end of The Algarve. Lagos and Sagres the places to be about an hour and a bit from Faro (or 3 hours if you follow your woman's route directions). The Costa Vicentina has some top surfing beaches unspoilt by the usual commercial tat. Stayed near Vilamoura last year which was decent but a bit any place/any where. Albuferia is ok for those who like watching UK visitors pushing supermarket trollies full of cheap booze from Lidls down the high street back to their hotels.
