BT will move it to Monday night to save us having to travel there, with any luck. PS And then we'll get Man Ure away in the draw before we lose 1-0 on a dodgy pen that night. ...
I'll take Arsenal in the final - a bad tempered affair, with the Gooners going down to 9 men in the second half. 0-0 at half time. City eventually break them down, scoring twice in the last 10 minutes. Both goals from long range by Marlon Pack. Pack then signs for Arsenal for £4M plus appearances. At least Grimsby will have the satisfaction of going out the the eventual winners. Until 2016, we've only previously lost in the final: remember the game, Aizoon? ...
OK - are we all agreed then? We get knocked out of the Cup away at Grimsby (as Aizoon is convinced), and finish just above the relegation zone on goal difference in May. Would this signal success for us this season? We are in real danger of being labelled fickle. "Think on your sins". Uncle TFR

Lanterne Rouge
Let`s not forget that Grimsby are non-league (even though most of us probably think of them as a league club) and we must maintain our proud record of never losing to the lower orders. I for one wouldn`t fancy us beating them up there on a cold January Monday night.

Carey 6
Obviously never going to happen but personally I'd rather we won the FA cup than stay up. Watching City in Europe would be amazing.

BRISTOL86
Am I the only one kind of quietly hoping we get a tough draw and lose gracefully against a better side? The only, only important thing this season is that we stay up and everything else is an unnecessary distraction IMO. I, of course, always want City to progress and do well, but I can't help but feel that with the size of our squad, a run in the cup is actually the last thing we need. Watching City in Europe would be amazing. Me too. Would be absolutely worth it and we'd attract good players that summer. People saying Portsmouth and Wigan as examples is a bit different as they were relegated from the premier league which is a harder league to return to.
