BigAl&Toby
Absolutely superb. Commanded the entire penalty area and for me didn't put a foot wrong. Came when he needed to come. Caught what he needed to catch. Encouraged (upto the half way line) when he needed to. And celebrated with passion and gusto. Sign him on and play him as first choice. Please. Guest
I really liked the look of him. Some awkward moments caused by his total dominance and coming for balls Fielding never would have, which caught the defence off guard. Not a criticism though, very much a compliment
kiwicolin
He's with us to the end of the season. Brilliant reaction when we scored . He's one of us now.

Depending on how much Wigan would want for him could be worth it to get the loan move back
Nomad
Totally agree. Shows FF for what he is (no disrespect intended but FF is NOT champ standard). Have a good feeling about O'Donnell.
MC RISK77
Was gonna start a topic on exactly this he was brilliant today and cleaned up everything...frankie will have difficulty getting back in
SedRA
Wasn't there today but was really impressed on Tuesday by his command of the area. Really shows how much that's been lacking with FF. Confident and dominant presence. Makes you wonder why he was 3rd choice at L1 Wigan!
bemmyredjeff
A very assured performance once more. Apart from one scary moment when baker obviously missed the call from him, there were never any other concerns when the ball entered the box. Stortz
Celebrating like a good 'un when we scored, he ran into the South stand for a celebratory cuddle haha
CityCiderEd
Proper keeper, does exactly what's needed and you can see the defenders have confidence in him. Just love the way he comes for high balls and dominates the area. Would be a good permanent signing.
citywest30
I know he's here for the rest of the season, but can he play Tuesday? Or is he cup tied? Or even not allowed as part of the loan terms?
Guest
Love him just for piling into the south stand. Absolutely brilliant at commanding his box.. It will give the defence confidence as well.

BigAl&Toby
I'm not interested in the FA cup. Sign him permanently and make him first choice. Do it now. Was great on Tuesday and superb this afternoon.
Davefevs
Was really surprised that we didn't go after him in the summer and he went to Wigan. I certainly mentioned him over the summer along with Foderingham who went to Rangers. Both were out of contract. But you never know whether we did, and whether plenty of other clubs also did. He might've insisted on being first choice, and maybe Cotts said he'd have to battle with Frank over pre-season. It's not always as simple as offering them the right money. For a keeper it can be very frustrating sitting on the bench every week, especially when Frank played every game just season. Didnt the club report, on loan with a view to permie signing. As @hodge says if we do think he's a good fit and he wants to come, then do the business now and free up another loan option for the incoming manager or Pembo/Wade....they may get to stay on! citywest30
Had a feeling that may be the case. Good experience for Max but have long liked the look of O'Donnell. Hope he turns it into a permanent deal, especially hearing from these comments.

BRISTOL86
Thought he was fantastic and IMO has showed that he has more to his game than Fielding in just two games.
Smokey
Its great to finally have a keeper who will take the pressure off the defence by coming for balls into the box. The amount of pressure Fielding invites is crazy
formerly known as ivan
Don't think he has had a lot to do shot stopping so far so interesting to see how he deals with that but in terms of commanding his area he is head and shoulders above Fielding
1960maaan
I would like to point out, and I agree with everything above, but in 2 games he hasn't had a shot of any note to save ! (*just seen above post) Catching looks good , vocal and commanding and distribution seems good. Wish we had a manager who could sign him up ! It does make such a difference to any defence to have a keeper who will come and claim crosses rather than stand on his line. FF is a very good short-range stopper, but not at all commanding and suspect from long range efforts.

Londoner
We were in for him in the summer but didn't sign due to wanting to play regular football. Why he hasn't at Wigan I don't know
RT's Vaseline Tub
Great judgment by Cotts to bring him in as he's very vocal, commanding and good on crosses. Nice to see his passion too in such a short space of time at the Club as gave those in front of him huge confidence. Frankie is a great keeper too and maybe suffered a bit when he had no stiff competition to push for his place. Derby fans raved about him and still do... OldlandReddies
great addition. almost feels like an extra outfield player as he is quick off his line, sweeper like and can use both feet comfortably. i like him
