Tin Soldier
Fair play to Spudski but quite a few others on OTIB was saying the same. SC was just too stubborn in my opinion and should have gone back in October, from a City fan in Belize on holiday. It is 90 Fahrenheit here! Straight skis are 'French fries'...kids seem to understand it better...go figure. Hence the green runs are full of parents shouting at kids to 'pizza instead of French fries'...truly odd to most newcomers ;-) Almost as silly as changing the name of Marathon to Snickers. So those skiis you have on are narrower at front than back? Have they dispensed with the Parabolica's? That was the name given to the last advancement about 10 years ago... You know like the stick of a magnum lolly... Rounded ends, thicker at front and back and narrowing in the middle?

I don't acknowledge any other name Last time I went skiing it was parabolics or carvers
Jack Dawe
A few people could do with lightening up on here a bit. This thread was a tease, as much about the forum and people squabbling on it and the way heels are dug in and about being "right" and not giving an inch or an ounce of "credit" to a sworn "enemy" and the tribes within a tribe, the one tribe that is Bristol City FC, and even the cult of spudski, etc, as it was about formations or tactics. Who cares about all that, we won on Saturday! Clearly though, one thing is true and undeniable: spudski is in the snow.

Too many skis to mention mate....those pictured are Race skis...you wouldn't use them for social skiing. Technology has come on leaps and bounds..there are so many different shape skis out there now, all for doing different tasks in the snow. Racing, back country, powder, piste, all mountain, freestyle, park, moguls....to name a few... ;-)
