BS3rich
What a comeback. 12 months ago we would have gone on to lose this 3-0! Still waiting on Korey & Matthews to come back as well. Sounded like Bobby Reid was outstanding all game, really do think he's underrated by our fans, time is still on his side to improve further. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets 8-10 this season. Lew-T
Can't fault the lads, superb effort being 2-0 down 75 minutes in. Last season it would have finished 3-0! You've got to remember we have a very young side but they've showed as much guts as I've seen in a City side for years. They will only get better, that's the most exciting thing. 2 Quote Link to comment

Paterson in for Freeman tuesday night as sadly Freeman just doesn't score goals or even look like scoring. I don't use Freeman as a scapegoat because he's not to blame for us not winning/losing recently. But he's not very good IMO. Again not blaming him for our results but I think I'd play Pack or Paterson instead of him. 3 Quote Link to comment

Well done LJ and the team, very proud and from where we were coming back from I will take a point, even though it could easily have been 3. nothing wrong with 3-5-2 as a formation, the problem with it last season is our players weren't a good enough quality to play a gung-ho 3-5-2 in this division. We have better players this year. 3 Quote Link to comment

deadredfred
Oh Aden. Crisis. At least those errors are out the way in one go. I'd have settled for a point before the match, and it's only good that we're disappointed we didn't win. We're creating chances. Korey coming back will be such a boost, arguably our best player for the last two seasons and hopefully shore us up at the back. Got to admire the character to equalise and still push for the win. Exciting times. 1 Quote Link to comment

Still the doubt over his strength, for me, though. Quote Link to comment
RobArnold10
Looking at that first goal, O think ROD has to shoulder some of that blame as well. He is Flints eyes with the striker behind him, so should be either coming out properly and clearing or telling Flinty to boot it into row z. That said Flint should be stronger and smarter there. The own goal, just write it off, not good but it happens. Thought the equaliser was an absolutely perfect cross, well done JB (looked like JB may be wrong!) overall though happy with a point away from home, especially as we found ourselves down by 2. Looking forward we've got some tough games this month so I've not got high expectations and as long as we keep ticking points over I think we can look to push on after that. 1 Quote Link to comment
Northern Red
Not winning today despite dominating balances out the Burton game where we stole 3 points having been battered for most of it. 2 Quote Link to comment

OK he has n't got the body strength of some but he gets a fair amount of free kicks as he is outmuscled and is a fighter , he does n't back down . He plays the ball quickly and has good awareness, now he's scoring a few as well , he more than merits to be a starter. He also loses a fair bit of the ball because he is outmuscled as you say,as for a starter I agree, play people on form. Nice problem for us to have Quote Link to comment

I thought he was still quite decent under Cotts, when Freeman was out for 3 games last season he shined & im sure he got MOTM on 2 of those games . Do prefer him further up the pitch. But he's quick at finding the killer pass, finding gaps and shooting! Quote Link to comment

Squire Dastardly
This is a team that plays with guts and enthusiasm and believes it can win. Mistakes are made particularly in newly formed defence formations and when under pressure a centre back sticks a leg out without any idea where the ball is going. Sometimes a ball hits a post and goes in. Sometimes it hits a post and stays out. You can dominate a game and still lose. You can play rubbish and still win. A point away from home is always good to collect. To all those who are complaining, I say get over it and show, as a supporter, the same amount of bottle that your team does. 11 Quote Link to comment

We had a great window and are playing good football. It's ok to expect to beat teams like Rotherham. I think we are as good as most teams in this division and yes we are still gelling but the level of dominance today should have gotten us more. It doesn't always have to be happy about everything. I'm glad we got something and they done well to get a point being two down but we need to put teams like this away early and go for the jugular. A point with SW away and Derby at home in the next week isn't the best as its going to be much harder to get points from. So 3 points was needed today. Im sure the errors will be corrected. So I'm happy for the point but I think we needed 3 and I expected it. I wasn't there but think Flint is feeling pressure with Ekstrand now pushing him more than anyone else would've the past 3 years? I don't know if he played well or recovered from the early mistake so genially asking. Also I'd seriously consider fining and suspending Tomlin for this dissent rubbish. Maybe it's frustrations that it isn't going as well for him now? Tbf, he was a star for a mid table team last year. Is it unfair to expect the same in a team with quite a bit more fire power now? Kodjia is gone but I still fancy us to score more this year You shouldn't expect to win any football match in any league . 1 Quote Link to comment

Bristol Rob
Dominated possession away from home, scored 2 and could have scored more and only conceded because of two very unfortunate errors by one of most solid performers. Nothing to see here. Would rather Flint made two errors in one game that two errors in two games. 1 Quote Link to comment

Honest criticism is good and can often be constructive. It's the moaning when things go against us. The attitude of "It's not fair" and the ref is bent, etc. etc. Too many people play the blame game too often. It's a good thing that the team don't have the same attitude and carry on battling. Jerseybean
I for one would have settled for a point at 3 pm today and certainly would have done so with 20 minutes to go! In the end we could have come away with all three points. This performance/result shows us: the character and belief we have in the squad that our manager continues to impress, be bold and make critical substitutions the questionable mentality of Tomlin (fourth yellow card today) the difference between this and last season our worrying ratio of converting possession/attempts into goals the never-ending emotional roller-coaster that us City fans experience! 3 Quote Link to comment

Sheffield aren't firing on all cylinders either. Four points would be good. 4 points against Derby and Wednesday would be tremendous given we didn't look like winning in the respective games last year (perhaps a tad harsh on the derby home game) Quote Link to comment
