Someone has an obsession with thread merging!

Simple reason @East End Old Boy and @formerly known as ivan, there were SIX seperate threads started by people with their "thoughts" on the game last night - why do people need to start ANOTHER thread when the topic is already in discussion.

There is a reason why @havanatopia creates a match day thread - so everything goes within that thread

That may explanation the "obsession" ?

Personal preferences, haven't got the time, or be bothered, to read through a thread with 10 plus pages and when anything potentially new, or actually relevant, from an interesting poster is then missed.

Very valid point to be fair @East End Old Boy, it's just that many replies are of a similar nature

Seriously what the alternative? After a match we each start a thread with our views? We'd just have 20 threads saying exactly the same thing

It's hard yo get a balance, but we are open to suggestions of how people would like the forum to work

How about each game we have ne "Match day thread" and one "After match Analysis" thread - stick every-ones thoughts in there...  problem solved

Unless someone is on the ball after a game, the only way I can see this working is having a time lock on the "Match day thread"  that automaticall locks it at 5pm, then the "After match Analysis" thread, opens at the same time - personally don't think it would work

One closes at 5pm and the other opens think it would work perfectly.
