At least Reid is making runs and getting into position to have a go, more than can be said for any of our other supporting players including Tomlin!

Well, he's given licence to do just that.

What we need is him to put one of these chances in to the net.

This commentator is f'ing appalling. Must have only played about 5  minutes of football if the actual commentary is to be believed rather than the rambling claptrap.

I was saying on the OTIB Chat that he sounds vaguely smug when City are losing. Rather irritating I must say especially when we already have to suffer the ignominy of having the second worst recent record in the division. Just no need for it regardless of whether he means it or not.

It is getting rather like a broken record this. For all the good early season vibes, we have reverted to type. We pack midfield yet we still get opened up, and Tammy is battling along all alone again. We just don't seem to be cohesive as a team. Thank god for those early points in the bag.

Haven't heard much mention of Tammy on the commentary.

I'd say we have about half the team playing and the rest looking she'll shocked. little constantly out of position, Joe yards behind, lots of headless chickens. can't see where a goal is coming from at the mo. We played well at Brum and got nothing, we not playing well at all here. Tammy looking increasingly isolated.our fans getting a bit restless, a few boos at HT and the team can't argue with that.

Surely time to give Engval a go, get him on for Paterson, take off one of Pack or GON and put COD or LF on the left.

LJ persistence with 1 up front is getting as annoying as Cotts 5 at the back.

I agree, he seems to be blind of the fact that a 19 yr old striker, even as talented as Abraham,  needs some experienced support.

They really can't afford to lose today.  If they do it will prove very difficult to reinvigorate the season, and any transfers in January will be recruited less for a push towards playoffs this season and nearer to promotion next; instead it will be yet another relegation battle.

Oh dear how often have City promised  only in the last analysis to fail.

I can cope with City failure, after all I have had lots of practice, it's the hope that does me in.

Don't be daft we're only a few points off top 6. That's what you'll get on here anyway. I said the same last week and I'll say it again. All these promises about good football and the 1 and 2 percent that make the difference yet we are getting beat by what we don't do well. Cross into the box, goal. Set piece, goal. We don't cross and are awful at set pieces. Those other half a percents mean nothing when you're awful at 40% of the game.

Anyway, we seem more likely to be in a relegation battle than a promotion push. It's been like that all year. We've had a few good performances but most have been poor but late goals and Tammy Abraham gave us the illusion we weren't doing badly. We were and now the same mistakes are costing us because we can't score. January will be a wasted window as well because no one is going to want to join a mid table to relegation battle type team. The improvement hasn't been there and while it's not all about this year, we haven't gotten better from August until now. 3 months of the same football. No progress, same formations and same under performing players out there every week. Sounds a bit like this time last year only with a summer full of investment behind it which makes it worse for me. Just a more graceful losing manager this time out
