If memory serves, LJ had a good start at Oldham, then went on a poor run dropping down the table, the same at Barnsley, before sorting it out. Looks like a similar situation here.

Very true their chairman stuck by him then he stuck two fingers up to him and went to a bigger club,Johnson for Man Utd this time next year I guess

It sounds like we were good enough for a point, but again very unfortunate.

That said, how many feckin games do we have to start with just Tammy up front before LJ realises he is isolated and marked out the game. Two strikers give the defence a lot more to think about and opportunities open up all over the place.

His stubborn sticking to the same, failing tactic is making me think of Cotterill.

Absolutely, unfortunately there are no points for unfortunate, the most important stats in a football match do not lie, 5 goals in the last 8 league games and 4 points out of a possible 24.

Again ,fine margins , not hammered by a top side full of internationals .

Why ,oh why ,oh why do we always have to play the ref as well  ?

I spoke of Barnsley's woes last night and we suffer just like them . Do we ever get décisions in our favour ?

I feel that we at City are and always have been , apart from our First Division team of the Seventies,  a ' soft touch ' . we need a bit of ' steel ' and someone streetwise who could take the kids and shake them up .

We just don't seem to believe enough at the moment and are in a tailspin .

Major, did Norman Hunter have a grandson  Could be the answer

We are getting plenty of chances, playing 2 up front is going to change nothing - we just need the players to convert the damned chances, or if they are unable to bring in some more clinical players.

If we had 2 strikers perhaps more of those chances would fall to a professional chance taker rather than a midfield player given licence to get forward?

No points for that Major, goals for and points taken in the past 8 games are the most important facts.

I seem to remember a certain ex BCFC manager being roundly harrumphed for criticising referees.

Playing 2 up front does make a difference because we score most of our goals in the 2nd half when we are chasing a game. How many do we score in the 1st half with just one up front.

Playing one up does mean that we are n't getting cut open so easily ,like we were last year . We are staying in matches much longer and with  decent ref's and a bit of luck we could have had perhaps 10 points more and be breathing down the Pie's neck .

I loved it when we played two wingers and two upfront but where did it get us ?

Not getting cut open so easily, 2 down in 20 minutes and then having to chase the game again, I think that is getting cut open very easily.  It's not every now and then it almost every game recently.  We need to start playing from the first minute and get in front so that the opponents are chasing the game and leaving their selves open.

It's the back that is actually the concern; I love Bryan and Flint but when watching today it sunk in that actually they just aren't good enough at this level. Plus Little is just too dodgy.

the goals conceded record speaks for itself.

I'd sort the back out before worrying about 2nd strikers and wingers.

I believe that there are two teams on the pitch, therefore your suggestion is illogical.

Sorry but I find your comment illogical

Why? Because we have played teams of different styles recently with same result.  Whatever the opposition we just aren't competing at present

We've come up against a very good side today, have to remember that. Granted the recent results haven't been good enough but I think it's a little premature to be panicking just yet!

I went to Birmingham last week and how we didn't win, I'll never know. The chances and performances are coming but we just haven't been clinical enough.

Probably stating the obvious but you can't rely on a 18 year old lad and now it's showing. We'll be fine I think but LJ's first priority in January has to be a striker!
