Garland-sweden
Well done City. One point in Newcastle is good. 1 Quote Link to comment
willitonciderhead
I can't see how anyone could be anything other than pleased getting a point at Newcastle? A win, well that would have been dreamland time. For me the highlight was the players giving it their all and then some. After watching the match on Wednesday I had given up hope, but some faith and hope have been restored today. I will not be happy unless ta shift is put in every single match, but today no one could complain with the well earned point. 1 Quote Link to comment

Pleased with a draw in the end. Said that the atmosphere was great. Ah, in fairness I was listening in. Fair play if you were there! Quote Link to comment

No praise going to LJ as he showed how tactically naive he is again by changing formation so we concede. He has to go. Um, what about setting up the team to take a 2-0 goal lead. Does that not count? Sleepy1968
We need to take this spirit into the Villa game now. It is vital that we take something there. #COYR. Edited February 25, 2017 by Sleepy1968 Quote Link to comment

Offside
Frustrating that we couldn't hold onto a lead again, but a point gained in my view. Not conceding the third will hopefully boost confidence. Good result and better than I expected this morning. Quote Link to comment
Lanterne Rouge
Five wins needed now I think. Will we get them? Quote Link to comment
Robin101
So so important that we didn't lose in the end. We've one more of the horror four away games and if we can get anything at Villa then you'd have to say we will probably have surpassed expectations across the set of games. Makes the Fulham game so incredibly frustrating. We also simply must beat Burton. 1 Quote Link to comment
Red Exile
Apparently the Newcastle fans are pleased they got a point after their first half performance... Quote Link to comment

I agree but a well earned point is coming back from a losing position, drawing from being 2-0 up is dropping 2 points whoever you are playing against and as I said on another post if this was an isolated incident, there would be an element of forgiveness. Sadly at the end of the season saying that this and Derby were good points just won't wash. Quote Link to comment
Port Said Red
point or more at Villa would make February look like a pretty successful month considering how few points people thought we were capable of getting. 1 Quote Link to comment

Nevertheless a point is better than none. Well you were sort of hoping that Toon won by 4 or 5, Fordy, so the fact we didn't lose by anything must be upsetting indeed if LJ was to go as a result. But 2-0 down or 2-0 up to end 2-2 is not the point. The point's the point- if you get my point. Against Newcastle. The League leaders. Away. 5 Quote Link to comment

Top Robin
What other team would expect not to be able to hold on to a two or three goal lead.......it's not right and is down to managerial strategies and decisions.......I know that better managers would have been able to hold on to it. The game is played over 90+ minutes, when and where the goals are scored is pretty irrelevant, the only important thing is the final score. We were not expected to get a point at St James Park, we got one. Point gained. 3 Quote Link to comment

Yes, I suppose you could say the result was disappointing in all ways. @Esmond Million's Bung makes a good point. We just keep doing it. It can't go on. It just feels like our stay of execution has been extended because once again we've had our token good 45 minutes that comes around every 4 games. 2 Quote Link to comment

Alessandro
Anyone want to apologise for the absolute pasting LJ and his team selection, especially of Wilbs, got before the game? After a committed, energetic and gritty performance at the league leaders? No, didn't think so. It's easy on FM isn't it. 8 Quote Link to comment

That is my opinion and I daresay the opinion of the manager, it happens now and again but it happens far too often to us, there must be a reason and something as yet unaddressed. cityexile
Cannot believe people are knocking a point at Newcastle, even allowing for being 2-0 up. The problem is not today, it's all those other half brained defeats. 8 Quote Link to comment
