Markthehorn
Markram out after an excellent century . India will be very relieved.
PHILINFRANCE
India left with 79 runs to win. Will it turn out to be a thrilling finale or a damp squib?

Yeah, the India tour usually is, that's how Channel 4 ended up with it last time. Would think it will be on TNT, they've shown a fair bit from India recently and had the women's series just before Christmas.
Northern Red
According to the Telegraph, TNT have the rights to the India tour. Official announcement tomorrow but will be world feed commentary with studio presentation. Talksport have the radio rights.

Be TS2 - they wouldn’t dare let the cricket get in the way of the football chart on the main channel .
Markthehorn
Not a bad first ball ! Also got 30 odd with the bat too. Edited January 17 by Markthehorn

Yeah, they've already confirmed it'll be TS2 (ad-free!) with odd bits on the main station
Big C
England’s much-anticipated Test tour of India will be televised in the UK by TNT Sports, which has signed a deal to screen the series just a week out from when the first ball is due to be bowled. And Its Smith
Sad news. I like that cricket is good at keeping these things private.
Robbored
Good to see that Jack Leach is in the squad. He’ll be a useful asset on Indian wickets.
And Its Smith
Looks like we will line up like this with only question being Robinson or Ahmed depending on the wicket. Safe to say Joe Root will be bowling 20+ overs in the match Crawley Duckett Pope Root Bairstow Stokes (C) Foakes (wk) Wood Ahmed/Robinson Leach Anderson
Super
Kohli out of first two tests as well.
bearded_red
Absolute disgrace, just as it was during the World Cup when journalists of Pakistan origin were being denied visas. We should be refusing to play until the issue is sorted, absolutely no chance the game would be taking place if roles were reversed. Of course, nobody will actually find any backbone to stand up to India though.
Lrrr
Its a piss take as the squad was announced ages ago, how far back do you have to go through someones bloodline before its okay to have had a relative from Pakistan to get a visa without issue for India... Super
England: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonathan Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, Jack Leach
Markthehorn
Let’s hope it does spin as expected then and Mark Wood can hold up fitness wise all game . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/68078567 With Root we have 4 spinners really ! Stokes to bowl a bit ? Edited January 24 by Markthehorn

As you say, if Wood breaks down we are in trouble. Id rather another seamer and rely on Root for more spin
And Its Smith
Time will certainly tell if this is a good idea! Can’t see Stokes bowling. They must be expecting a real Bunsen burner.

Robbored
57 minutes ago, Super said: This has a 5-0 defeat written all over it. Not sure about that Super. Every international team know that Indian wickets are a spinners delight and a seamers graveyard - hence England taking only one seamer, the one that’s exceptionally quick. Plus Kohli not playing in the first two tests. England won’t win the series but but quite likely to draw at least one or two tests
