Annoying thing is that the clubs and the Police get to see and approve the fixture list before it's released. That way they can make alterations before the Fixture Release Day. Why did that not happen in this instance?

Now 12 o clock kick off . On police request. What a load of bollocks . Other so say high category fixtures kick off later . Piss poor IMO

Always going to be the case unfortunately, like it or not.

The main problem being that anytime we do get to play Cardiff at a decent hour, without bubble restrictions, it kicks off. So the police have no primped at all in getting their on on getting the games changed.

The fixture date hasn't changed, so it wouldn't have been done then. It's only an earlier kick off time, which everybody knew it would be when the fixtures came out with a Saturday listing for this one.

I wonder what happens now if sky want to select it for a 5.30 kick off.

Is Murdoch more powerful than the police yet..?!

Exactly. We played  them on a Monday night last couple of seasons because of sky . People got all day to get pissed . But recently it's been a bubble match for us away. But not them

Think last seasons away game was a Friday night with many City fans rolling into Cardiff 6 hours before kickoff

The old bill are well aware of the rivalry between City and Cardiff and the early ok is to reduce the chance of pissed up fans from either club clashing and causing problems.

Its common sense ffs and to expect a regular 3pm ko is a bit dim imv.

Well thanks for calling me dim . But last season there were many high profile games kicking off later than 3pm . Probably worse than city v Cardiff. But sorry for being dim . Football has truly lost its rivalry

The police have developed astute ractics to minimise clashes between fans which is why we see so little incidents of hooliganism these days.

One of those tactics is to have early ko's and thats common knowledge amongst fans of all clubs across the country - except you it seems. So you've either got your head in the sand or are a bit dim.

It's not the obvious. Do you honestly believe all derby or fierce rival games kick off early. Of course not . So why should we . Look at games on telly. Separated by a line of stewards.Man city v Man U . Everton v Liverpool. Amongst others . But not Bristol city . Open your eyes.

There's a long history of trouble between City and Cardiff going back decades both at Ninian Park and AG. The old NP was the most hostile and intimidating stadium I've ever been to and I loved it! They hate us because we're the nearest English team to them and the Welsh, like the Scottish hate the English, so....the rivalry is not club v club but national rivalry.

Swindon are the only club I dislike more than Cardiff.

You don't see real trouble at PL clubs from big cities like London, Brum or Manchester or Liverpool these days because the police have managed things to put a lid on it by good sensible policing - unlike the WMP.

If the Cardiff game was a 3pm ko there'd be trouble all over Bristol and A&S police stretched to their limit.
