Grey Fox
The reality is we will not be able to keep Baker , Wright and Flint, in my view Flint will go in January, City will get somewhere near their valuation and Baker and Wright will be our first choice centre back pairing. Therfore play Baker and Wright , and use Flint when needed, simplly because that is best for the team going forward if Flint is destined to go, whether we like it or not. As problems go, it could be worse
downendcity
I reckon the key decision is not which of them is the best centre back, but which two form the best centre back pairing. That Flint has been a collosus and talisman for is not in doubt. However, whether he forms a better defensive pairing with either Baker or Wright than do Baker and Wright together, is a much trickier question to answer. Had Wright not been away on international duty would LJ have changed the centre back pairing?

No. There would have been no need to had Wright been available. LJ considers Wright/Baker as the first choice CBs. Quite right to.

This is only since the transfer window Tomorrow is the first time (if BW's jet lag gone) all 3 are available mentally and physically
BobBobSuperBob
As we talk centre halves and who / which pair provides better defensive stability and the reason for conceding less goals at the present time , for all tHe knocking of Famara - He and BR are certainly a part reason at least for our improved defensive resilience ,IMHO Both work really hard at pressing and defending from the front , disrupting and harrying , and make it easier to press higher , and more , often making the job of those behind them somewhat easier , reducing the oppositions attacking threat and giving us a chance to be organised and retain our shape No coincidence IMHO
