Never to the dark side Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Would any one have info on the whereabouts of the friendship cup that was played between Hanover and Bristol City
slartibartfast Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Circa 66-67 think we drew 1-1 at home and lost away. That's all I can remember, something like 3K at home.
wendyredredrobin Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Melted down and made into baked bean cans by now I should think.
Blagdon red Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 My understanding is that the trophy itself remained at AG.

The other thread that @Nogbad the Bad started about Ashton Gate as you knew it, well that was the team as I knew it, except I don't think I ever saw Atyeo play and I have no memory of Chuck Drury or George Showell. Gerry Sharpe would have been a top division player but for an injury, the kind of injury that would be repairable these days I am sure.

I very much doubt it, it was horrendous, shattered bones dug into the turf !

Ah maybe not then, did he try to make a comeback in a couple of reserve games? I seem to remember seeing him play but realising he wasn't the same?
