On the back of a much needed win the club have decided to strike whilst the iron is hot. Still issues to sort out before we can say things are on the up but some positive news this week. Diedhou only one game away from serving his ban....it doesn’t feel right, we need some negativity to get back on an even keel!!!!

Soon someone will mention that our rubbish result at Bolton are the only points they’ve dropped so far this season..!

In reality he should be pairing with Webster. What will happen though is he will play RB against top 6 sides. Cover when Baker is unfit at CB and be on the bench when those aren’t happening.

Kalas is better but we may as well have kept Vyner around. Not like going to the worst team in the division and playing out of position is helping Vyner much.

Seems a negative post but I like the signing. Just not sure how he will be used when everyone is fit again.

Yep, I don't like this, 'he can also play right back.'

So what? So could almost any professional at a push, doesn't mean they'd play to the best of their ability.

Play him where he's tried and tested, at CB, and let him make a position his own, with others having to up their game to force him out.

Just another 10 more quality experienced loan signings like this needed now and we could be looking a half decent side

And screwed over by ffp!

Think with kalas and an experienced centre midfielder we are a mid table team, which is what everyone was expecting in June

Think you're looking a bit too hard into what was a tongue in cheek comment pal :). Don't think anyone would seriously suggest we signed a full starting 11 on loan between today and the end of the loan window!

My only slight concern is that he needs to be psychologically prepared to battle at City .

He thought that he would be playing in the Prem this year so it must be a little disappointing for him to find himself not only back in the Championship but at an unfancied club .

We need to make him feel welcome and show him that he can fulfill his dream here if he puts his heart and soul into it .

Welcome Tomas Kalas and well done City .

Very pleased with this - do get the impression this means either one or both of Baker or Wright are further off than is being mentioned, but pleased to have Kalas regardless.

Agree that I’d guess this is our business done, but not displeased with the addition - knows what it is like to play in a team at the top end of this league.

LJ was complaining the other day that he keeps being told Wright will be back in 4 or 5 days. Also stressed that he has had no pre season.

Won't be fully fit any time soon then.

Signed a new 4yr deal last year..... HOWEVER this is the norm for Chelsea to agree contacts with players and loan them out as it ensures they get the highest possible amount if the loan goes well. He’s reportedly grown tired of being loaned out and wanted to stay at Chelsea or move to Fulham (for reported 8-10mil), but since then a new manager has come in and he’s been loaned out again as Fulham didn’t make an offer, mainly because he got injured towards the end and was kept out of the team. If Sarri isn’t a fan, we offered a loan to perm deal for maybe 5-6mil, and LJ made wanted this signing badly according to MA then who knows......

Personally it would make sense to have that deal in place. 5-6m is a lot of money but I’d rather the quality. We have enough squad fillers. We need the quality now and I hope Kalas provides it. He is supposed to be very quick and decent on the ball. If Webster can be more physical and defend like someone his size should we would have a good mix

And I've spent the last 24 years thinkking Sieb Dijstra was a Czech ?

Maggers looks like he's one of the puppets from Lazy Town there. One for the parents

Poor timing, given that the actor who played Robbie Rotten died this week...

Noted that several fans thought he could be John Terry replacement. As a Fulham fan LJ  has probably seen him play and he has played against us. Nice to see Chelsea are happy to loan players to us,. The success of the  Tammy experiment has certainly worked well for us.

Or for those of us young enough to have grown up watching it!
