After Ipswich it’s “Fam is our biggest confidence player, we’ve worked on that this week”. Well, i’m sure all that work was wasted when you named him on the bench!!! Your whole scenario above is based on your (thinly disguised) daydreaming of what you would do if you were Steve. Because he doesn't do what you would, you imply that proves he doesn't want promotion. What you aren't factoring in here is that SL and you see the world in a very different way. Ergo you cannot make the assumption that his actions prove your point. If it WAS you in Steve's position then yes, you would be doing it because you don't want promotion. SL on the other hand just doesn't want to do it your way. He may think your way has no guarantee of success and might cost a ridiculous amount of his money. Well not really... but listen, I have respect for your own opinion and you must for mine. To be honest the love I have for City under Lansdown has faded badly - which is sad. I saw my first game in 1960 with my father and I had been a season ticket holder for so many years. I basically eat and slept Bristol City for many years and organised many different events for the club and former players many of which you undoubtedly attended. Irrelevant to our earlier conversation of course but just to point out my own frustration particularly since 2008. I wish you well and hope your own passion burns longer than my patience these days allows me to regarding the club I once loved so much more.
