"My input was (previously) limited as I was coming in at the latter stages of what was already going on," he said. "I expect my involvement to increase going forwards and I think that will be a good thing. I've got a lot of knowledge and understanding about what is needed to come in." Neither do I.....that’s not to say I don’t think he could do with a footballing man in a DoF / day-to-day mentor role. Ashton is a football operations man, totally different role.
