No sorry , not a girl on girl porn mag.

A few on here have mentioned in the past perhaps we should employ a director of football . That go between from LJ -MA .

Does anyone think he’d be the right type to take up that job for us ?

Go between?   Wtf?

Are you suggesting that LJ and MA don’t liaise with each other?   Ffs.........

No, he isn’t....and you know exactly what SSN is talking about.  You don’t have to play the same card on every post.  Try to contribute constructively.  It’s quite soothing!!

I liaise witn my Programme Manager, But I don’t report directly to him.

I think a number of us feel that LJ would be better served by having a football man between him and MA rather than nothing.

Having said that I’d rather have his son Harrison in our midfield!!

Surely a reason as to why he left/given the boot should be considered... Also something from the BBC article

Former Blackburn and Stoke boss Hughes hopes he will have a more direct say in transfers and recruitment following Reed's departure.

"My input was (previously) limited as I was coming in at the latter stages of what was already going on," he said.

"I expect my involvement to increase going forwards and I think that will be a good thing. I've got a lot of knowledge and understanding about what is needed to come in."

So would someone like Reed coming in reduce LJ's influence in transfers again?

Do you or any of us actually know what the working relationship between MA and LJ is and how it works?

The answerr is, no we don’t know and yet uninformed posters make unfounded recommendations about what LJ needs......ffs.....

Thank you Dave , enough of the attention seeker.

Didn’t know Harrison was his boy.

The reason I put his name forward.

hes managed, coached and been technical  director of the F.A . Vastly experienced football man. Someone like him would be perfect imo.

Had control of recruitment at Southampton and credited for some of their success and recently their fall , thro poor recruitment

Could do worse - leave Mr Buzzword to concentrate on the numbers

Good point . Think the club still make signings for the future as LJ said regarding Eisa and adelukan . See what you mean though.

You are assuming that LJ needs - and wants - a DoF. On what do you base that assumption?

You seem to be suggesting that there’s some kind of problem between LJ and MA - based on what?

Clarify your point if you can.............which I doubt....

Don't see us ever having someone in that sort of role while Ashton is at the club.

Certainly he's the right sort of candidate if we ever did look to go down that route though.

Neither do I.....that’s not to say I don’t think he could do with a footballing man in a DoF / day-to-day mentor role.

Ashton is a football operations man, totally different role.

There doesn’t have to be a problem between LJ and MA to mean a person in the middle, or dotted line into both wouldn’t help LJ...and ultimately City.  Who does LJ go to about tactics if he can’t reach agreement with DH/JM...or just wants another opinion?  MA?  SL?

Dave.....LJ has two assistants who he trusts 100%. These are guys he discusses tactics with. MA and SL have no serious input into such matters - why would they?

Do you suppose the likes of Pep or Pottechino discus tactics with thier owners?  Of course they don’t!
