Oh Louie louie
Are you saying o driscoll left us in a healthy postion? The bpttom 4 of the old divsion 3? yes he did go to liverpool for a stint as a coach, a long time after he left us? how long did he last two months? Never worked as a manager since if im right. Oh Louie louie
If steve c wouldnt have come in when he did we would certainly have gone down, and been in the old divsion 4. We had the best strike force in the divsion on paper (jet and baldock) Yet we could not win a game. Watching city under him wasnt any fun. May i ask about this work he did behind the scenes? Oh Louie louie
Do any of you remeber o driscoll insisting we bring in his old coach from walsall? pretty sure we paid them compo, richard o kelly? A few weeks in he went on a unsavoury rant about the club, saying things were terrible behind the scenes and left. That sums up o driscolls judgement. Hampshire Red
Love BAR BS3 's summary on LJ. Every single City fan must now admire him or love him unless you 'have an agenda'. I can't disagree but doubtless someone will come on here after dropped points to find a reason to fault our leader.
Oh Louie louie
The only time i recall us being bottom of divsion 3 in my days of watching city is under sod. So he has infact led city to our lowest leauge postion since 1984. Only decent thing he did was to sign flint and he werent hard to find.

You know why don’t you? Because he isn’t perfect. Not even in this run....he’s made mistakes, small ones admittedly. I think LJ himself has said the same this week....A+ for effort, can’t remember what he marked himself overall...but not A+. There are always things to improve. If you take wins as being the marker (I know it’s not), he’s won less than half of his league games this season, so there’s >50% of games to ‘beat him with a stick’....or critique him with. Everytime we don’t win, you are gonna get some critical feedback. No agenda. Even when you win, there are still things to critique, e.g. Bolton, why was Palmer stripped and ready to come on for 4/5 minutes, and us going a goal down before he did? Why did it take a treble sub to rescue the points? You don’t have to have an agenda.

To be fair I’m reserving judgement until I see how we react to the first defeat, LJ has form for going on great and terrible runs throughout his time with us and before - so not fully commiting to the love in until sure. Saying that the league position is great and our form superb!

Because I understood from day one what his brief was and realised that to achieve it would take time. Patience in other words. It looks in recent games that he’s getting there............ It was definitely me. Once at AG against Fulham. Lost 0-2 and never laid a glove on them. it was so frustrating that I temporarily lost it. At home later and very much calmer I realised that LJ was looking for players he could rely on - he wouldn’t have seen many in that game

The fact it’s competitive is what attracted me to game over 30 years ago. The social element of game is another factor - I’ve just returned from a tour in Torquay and what a great laugh that was....... Four competitive matches but the rest of time was spent socialising and having a few beers. You get to see the other side of the players you played with and against for years.........some of them are completely different off the green! Shame you haven’t played since

DKM Len
Saw the title of this thread, and am just wondering why the footballing fraternity as a whole has taken so fully to the use of the word "Super"? It's not really a word that people would use in daily conversation unless you are Reginald Perrins employee or make noodles.
