Hi lads/ladies a long time reader of OTIB it’s always an enjoyable read. I’ve never had such an urge to post until today!

I’ve never really got the beef with villa fans. But after spending a couple of hours in Birmingham after the game today and speaking to a few villa fans Jesus they are big headed c***s who think they have some god given right to be in the premiership.

Comments such as “this is your big day out coming to a premier league ground with premier league fans” or “no offence but it must be nice to watch a game of premier league standard”

These fans are f’in deluded silent all game till they scored from a debatable penalty. Then go on like they’re to good for this league, boils my piss!

We are overachieving yes but give us some credit. COYR!!

anyway rant over thanks for reading my post...... cue robored ‘zzzz’

I’ve been Villa a few times and I completely agree with you.

Certainly one of the most arrogant set of fans around.

I enjoy seeing them fail purely for this reason and hope they stay in the Championship a long time.

Big club that was poorly run and deserve to be in the championship hopefully for many more season's to come....

It’s the “premier league ground” comments that get me.

Anyone who still thinks the FA Cup semi’s should still be played at Villa Park need to spend an hour in the upper tier concourse. It’s 3rd world. It’s like a prison. Awful facilities. If we ever got to an FA Cup semi and it was played there and my ticket was in the upper tier away end, I’d be majorly peed off.

As for their fans. Well, shall we just call them camels from now on. The ones spitting at us through the fence in the coach park certainly reminded me of my recent visit to West Midlands safari park!

As for the “big day out” guff. Tell that to the additional 14,000 villa fans who came to see us compared to their match this season v Preston. Perhaps they were only there to watch City? This was their 2nd highest ever attendance since being in the Championship - big club? Fickle fans, more like.

One of the quietist grounds I've been to, and really , apart from the size, is it that much better than the new breezeblock stadiums like Shrewsbury or Colchester? Totally agree @Harry , they were the team with the extra cling ons, deluded and fickle. Didn't get involved with many Villa after the game, bumped into a few well dressed PNE fans around the centre though.

Fans with a god complex, despite spending more money in 3 seasons in the championship than we have in our entire history and still be in the championship really irks them.

And Christ what a shithole the surrounding area around Villa Park is. No wonder why they're so bitter and angry.

From the day they got relegated they had this idea they should go straight back up

3 or 4 seasons later there thinking still hasn’t changed

sadly on current form they have got to be favourites to go up via the play offs

please god prove me wrong.....

Villa wouldn't be the first 'big' team to get relegated and act all Billy Big Bollocks. However most of the others have either gone straight back up or adjusted their attitude and expectations when that doesn't happen and they spend a few years in this division.

Villa have done neither of those things.

It reminded me of Leeds away a bit, a stadium of faded glory and in parts quite frankly not fit for purpose in 2019.

At least the Billy Big Bollocks Leeds fans make a bit of noise. I had to laugh at the- Holte End is our 12th man- sign, completely silent until they scored.

Luckily for them they had another 12th man yesterday

Jokes on them though, if they are such a brilliant club why are they only 4 points ahead of lowly Bristol City having played one more game. They'll need to get out before the prem money runs out.

Agree with the comments about their stadium absolutely horrible facilities, makes you appreciate having a more modern stadium with some investment put into it.

And less said about the surrounding area the better, rank.

No different from our home games this season tbh.

This post sums them up

'may be just me but every time we play a small team, or a team with small team mentality they have someone who chucks in long throws but don`t do nowt else all game. is like playing with 10 men for rest of game'

Just because they're the 'mighty Aston villa' they seem to believe that they have the divine right to beat anyone. Much like Leeds but at least Leeds fans create an atmosphere, wasn't there yesterday but they were like church mice earlier on in the season, tragically quiet support for a supposed 'big club'.

Hope they stay down, get screwed over by FFP and turn into a Coventry. Wouldn't wish that on any decent fan, the problem is they don't have any...

Too many football fans like to live in the past and believe their club is “big” because of what it did in the past. The past is past and has no bearing on what is now. Accrington Stanley finished 7th in the first Football League season of 1888-89 but, thankfully, their fans don’t keep saying they are a big club

I worked with a couple of them for two years. Both lovely blokes in general, but when the topic turned to football, their heads inflated. Seemed to think they had a divine right to be in the Premier League and basically looked down on every other Championship club. When they lost to Fulham in the final last year, instead of conceding that they lost to the better side, they just moaned that the Premier League needed Villa back, not a small nothing club like Fulham.

Stanley got a milk advert, they are far bigger than Villa!

When I’ve come across Bristol City fans on my travels I have found them in the main to be fine, just harmless bumpkins with a strange inferiority complex toward, of all people, Cardiff. Maybe bringing more than a few hundred slack jawed, straw chewing simpletons on an away trip has given them delusions of grandeur?

I’d imagine that if we were looking for opinions on what a 40k+ crowd should sound like, they wouldn’t be near the top of the list.

A lot of the time, yes.

However Swansea (after it kicked off between the fans for 10-15 mins especially) an exception. Norwich at home good, QPR 2nd half very loud, Wigan at times 2nd half but only at times pretty loud, and West Brom good atmosphere IMO. In patches the Cup tie v Huddersfield.

Yea that just about says it all really..ignorance on their part.. can’t deal with not being in the big time anymore so take it out on us smaller clubs!!

We will just have to wait until they fail to get promoted again and enjoy their demise  of another season in the too good for them championship !!

He does say that a lot of decisions were wrong for both sides but said the game changing decisions went against us. I saw how your wonder fasns complained about your ref on Wednesday but that one still gave you two penalties

So the ref wasn't a "homer" at all then? He just gave what he saw and made honest decisions?

LJ conveniently forgets the ones that the ref got wrong like your player receiving a yellow when it should have been straight red.  That was also a game changing decision.

If he honestly saw a penalty there, then he needs to go to specsavers, or better still get his eyes tested for blindness.

The foul on mcginn was a yellow nothing more, although tbh considering how he gave birmingham so many decisions I'm surprised he only showed a yellow...

The comments re: LJ blaming loss on placement of away fans are rediculous, he doesn’t use that as an excuse, merely says we could learn from it at AG, I’m not one to get wound up by away fans but I’ve changed my mind!

Likewise, I don’t normally care about opposition fans but Villa do seem to have a disproportionate amount of ****ing bellend *****. ****ing *****!

If you couldn’t see that yesterday’s ref was a homer then I think football is the wrong sport for you. You might want to start watching boxing where the judging is what you are used too.

I bet you wer3 complaining about your ref on Wednesday though.

Not sure why I am debating with you because you appear to be like the majority of your support, lacking in class. Ah well if you get back to the PL yo7 won’t last l9ng

I reckon they're all Twitter bots, I've seen more noise from them on Twitter and social media today than the 39,000 cardboard cut outs managed at Villa Park.

I've got no problem with the fact it's hard for home fans to get going, we are the same at AG, but WE don't all then spend the next day giving out to opposition fans on social.

Pity they didn't channel all this energy and noise into creating an actual atmosphere in their stadium rather than making us wait until Sunday to suddenly hear from them all.

(And don't get me started on big day out, one of the most palpably stupid comments of the lot - and from a club that put on a firework display before our game last season).

Lacking class?

Have you read the drivel on here?

Worst ground in the Championship, biggest shithole in England, worst away pub, deluded fans, all thinking we have a divine right to win every game, quietest fans, Billy big bollocks, didn't deserve to win, Kodjia is good but he's not that good etc, etc, etc.  Hardly any of you have any grace, class or dignity.

Talking of deluded fans, I have never encountered such delusion anywhere.  You're Bristol FFS, not Barcelona.

Do you not think that this could be a reaction to some of the comments by your lot ?
I've seen the one about our "big day out" and how lucky and excited we were to visit a Premier League ground ?  FFS you've not been there for a couple of years, does that mean that every team that has played there has a Premier League ground? Some of your posts have just reenforced views that your lot are exactly that what you've put above.
The ground was quiet. I did expect more considering the run you'd been on , and the fact you had your biggest gate for a few years (just to see little old us ).  Oh, and BTW you're Aston Villa BTW , a Championship side like the rest in the division , you don't just deserve a Premier League spot because you have done something in the past, you're nothing special , teams come down every year.
As for delusion? No one on here think we have any right to be anything, unlike a large percentage of your support , that delusion is your lots

As  a matter of interest, why does thinking Kodjia isn't "all that" upsetting you so much? Why were at it, did you think coming on a City forum we would all fall into your line of thinking because you support Villa?

Guess you have a banning order from both matches and socialising to go onto other clubs forums.

Middle aged mummys boy arent you but give normality a try.

Yes I'm sure he was lot less reserved in the interview straight after the game... wouldn't you want your manager to do the same if you felt the turning point of a game was a very soft penalty. I want our manager to be passionate about our team and to feel frustrated annoyed etc just like us fans , it shows how much it means to him ..

Then in the 2nd interview he knows he can't do anything about what happened and openly reflects how what we should of done better and complimented one of your players .
