collier
Glad we got the win. Playing badly and winning is a good combination. Hopefully much better performances to come. Link to comment
Red Army 75
Great result. Much better second half against a team who haven’t lost this year . T Bakinson man of the match Link to comment
City_USA
Get in. Always great to win even when not at your best. DH should have learned a lot from that match. Great to see the boys get a win. Glad to have the season under way. COYR Link to comment

Red Exile
Impressive last 30 minutes turned that around. Credit where it is due. Good substitutions from Holden. Bakinson very impressive. Martin looks a wise and mature player. Kalas a worthy MoM for me. Enjoyed that in the end! Link to comment
luke_bristol
Early, meaningful changes (not like-for-like after 83 mins) seem to have been the difference! COYR Link to comment
old_eastender
Kallas MotM, fair shout. Bakinson & Martin both made a big difference. Bentley pulled off some key saves. Link to comment
awbb
We looked poor when Cov pressed us. Much the same as when Johnson was in charge. Play littered with mistakes and panic. Our subs coincided with Cov running out of gas and needing to take their foot off the accelerator, happily we took advantage. We've said it before on this forum too. Cov probably deserved something and got nothing. Much like us in 2015/16. Link to comment
Sturny
Coventry tidy team, they will stay up easily Link to comment
Lanterne Rouge
One other thing, I thought we saw the game out really well which we don`t always do. Link to comment
EstoniaTallinnRed
Good win boy's, but did you give us nerves. Great goal by Kalas and a good sub appearance by Bakinson, he made all the difference. Martin also looks like a very good player. Well done! Link to comment

Selred
3 points. 3rd in the table. Up the City! Poor 60 minutes, far better last 30. Bakinson looked very tidy, Martin a handful. A base to grow from. Link to comment
Red_Alligator
Could this be our year??!! I blummin hope so. Link to comment
RoystonFoote'snephew
Much better second half, especially after the substitutions bringing on Bakinson and Martin. Positives: We won Bakinson strength Martin hold up play And most of all - my live stream worked perfectly with everything in sync Link to comment
RedInDevon
Great to get a win first game out, but what I thought was more important was the 11 shots, 6 of which were on target. Thats a massive improvement on last season. Seemed like we were under the kosh a bit but not a bad start. COYR Link to comment

Jerseybean
Immediate reflections/feelings.....a home win is great, delighted for Deano and Kalas, we were outplayed for most of the first half, substitutions defo made an impact, have lots of concerns about our distribution, decision-making and sloppiness. Overall a sense of relief to get three points. Lots and lots and lots of learning and much room for improvements. Lets enjoy a home win and learn quickly. Link to comment
Ivorguy
Always wait for the final whistle before exploding against head coach and team Well done City, against a newly promoted side used to winning. 3 good points and a great start to the season Coaches and players will have learnt a lot today about themselves and the team Link to comment

Unfortunately Fam had his couldn’t hit a bar door pants on today. Not great from him. First touch poor as usual and not that great passing. Martin did ok a few clever touches, took a while to get to the pace, but wholly understandable. Link to comment

cityexile
We will play better across 90 minutes this season and lose. Credit Holden the subs changed the game, but really really poor first half. Coventry also could not keep up their press all match and tired. Results are everything at the start of a season, much to improve, but very very happy with the result. Link to comment

We’ve got a lot of quality to come back in , in midfield.Definitely think he deserves a place in the squad though. Perhaps sell Nagy instead of loaning tyreeq Link to comment
