Bristol City v Coventry City Match Day 1

Recommended Posts

We looked poor when Cov pressed us. Much the same as when Johnson was in charge. Play littered with mistakes and panic.

Our subs coincided with Cov running out of gas and needing to take their foot off the accelerator, happily we took advantage.

We've said it before on this forum too. Cov probably deserved something and got nothing. Much like us in 2015/16.

Immediate reflections/feelings.....a home win is great, delighted for Deano and Kalas, we were outplayed for most of the first half, substitutions defo made an impact, have lots of concerns about our distribution, decision-making and sloppiness.

Overall a sense of relief to get three points. Lots and lots and lots of learning and much room for improvements.

Lets enjoy a home win and learn quickly.

We will play better across 90 minutes this season and lose. Credit Holden the subs changed the game, but really really poor first half. Coventry also could not keep up their press all match and tired.

Results are everything at the start of a season, much to improve, but very very happy with the result.

Bakinson first name on the team sheet now he is a breath of fresh air looks like he could be the midfielder weve all been craving ??????????

He was quality but calm down . We’ve got a lot of quality to come back in , in midfield.Definitely  think he deserves a place in the squad though. Perhaps sell Nagy instead of loaning tyreeq
