petehinton
Sacked. Said from day one he was a ******* idiot for taking that job. He’ll struggle to get anything above a league one job now, yet left us with very high stock.
And Its Smith
3 losses in 13 games and 3rd in the league. Very surprised he’s been sacked. Sunderland fans are an odd bunch. One minute they love him and when he loses one or two games they want him gone.
Southport Red
Amazing really. Of course a appalling result yesterday but playoffs still very doable I would have thought.
Alan Dicks
I know they lost 6 0 but that’s madness, they’re still well in the mix for auto.
David Brent
Not his biggest fan but seems quite harsh on him given league position. Looks from the outside he was doing alright.
cityexile
Have nothing against LJ. Think he is a flawed manager but clearly does his best. Would have liked to see him succeed really at Sunderland, but the kind of role you either succeed or fail in a season.

2015
Lets hope we don't lose a couple now as there will be a few calling for him to come back Bit reactionary from Sunderland though being 3rd and all that

Jeez
The owners must have looked at his track record & are preemptively avoiding the inevitable Feb Mar losing streak.

steveybadger
Usually I’m all in favour of giving manager’s time, and the timing here does seem odd. However something doesn’t seem quite right there (a team In the top 3 losing 6-0 to modest opposition) and given LJ’s propensity for streaky results, maybe a new manager bounce might actually give them the push they need? pongo88
No surprise as Sunderland seems to be one of those clubs where the owners and supporters think they are big and guaranteed success regardless the state the club is in. I’m not a fan of LJ but I think he did an ok job considering what he inherited. He, nor anybody else, was going to be given time.
