LondonBristolian
In fairness though, it ended with corruption happening through incompetence, liars staying in power and nobody taking accountability for their mistakes. You can't fault that ending for realism.

Northern Red
I assume that simply pinning it all on the bungling moron is a way of leaving it open to another series when they can be arsed? At least I hope that's what this is.

Vespa Red
I can see why people are so disappointed. I mean, who would have thought, especially in this country, that such an inept bellend could have been in charge all along?
BS2 Red
The finale is getting ridiculous amounts of hate online. It was anticlimactic, but as @LondonBristoliansaid, it was actually pretty realistic that there was no criminal mastermind, just a greedy man being aided by incompetence and a desire to cover up anything that could make the police look bad. They also left it open for another series, they could easily do another one where Carmichael and/or Osborne get exposed as OCG.

One guy I know was the superintendent of an anti corruption team but wasn’t called AC12 He was based in Avon and Somerset police HQ but he and team investigated other forces. He reckoned the Met were worst lot of them all.

WolfOfWestStreet
I genuinely struggle to believe the bloke Buckles could summon armed goons at the drop of a hat, to attack armed police vehicles, kill blokes in prison and **** up loads of shit. He doesn't have the money, influence, respect to be "the man" .... Rubbish.
