Just had a look at the Barnsley OS - nothing on there yet

Also had a look at their fans forums, nobody mentioned anything yet - clearly not aware of the potential shit show that they will potentially be a part of shortly

Shit show , that’s a tad harsh ????? but so very true , compare the away end at Rovers to Barnsley’s away end

4,000 all seated covered stand with proper concourse,  toilets , no doubt what Rovers are modelling there’s on

Apart from 1k less seats, no proper concourse, and portaloos.

Hopefully it turns out a world of pain for them but I still believe it can be constructed within 3 weeks to complete. After all it is temp seating. Although they better get a move on as if they are waiting for planning consent then they could be waiting a while.

Either way it's going to be dawning on them soon.

Glamorgan used to have a lot of temporary seating that was I believe slided in for bigger games etc, I sat at the top of one of those "stands" and you could feel the thing lift, hopefully theirs will blow into the home stand (tent/big top) and crush nobody (a few...sorry) maybe a few pasting tables & some fake Fanta from the catering stall!

Found this part of the suppliers statement on their propoganda site heralding their New Access System Partnership (stop snickering at the back)

It’s the first time that Axess will have taken on a stadium like this in the UK.

Talk about stating the bloody obvious.

“The event is free and open to all fans to attend, though this will be limited to 200 people on a first-come first-served basis. You can book your place HERE.”

It would be absolutely awful if, say, 200 non-supporters booked up all of the places for their launch night then not turn up. Just saying …

If it is capped at 200, then clearly it isn't open to all fans.

Unless they think they only have 200 fans.

200 people all called Matthew Taylor, what are the chances?

300k Matty Taylor's.

You must remember him, the lad 'who did nothing', the same lad who played Smith in for the winner against Man Utd.

(The following 2 games likely made him a less than a cash neutral signing).

The Council/decision would be in judicial review territory if they have! Pretty sure we’re still in the statutory consultation period. Personally, would have thought it would be highly improbable that a decision would be made within 8 weeks - which I think in this case is sometime late in August.

Frankly, having been involved in planning for 40 odd years, I can’t understand what the hell Rovers are doing with their submission and frankly  - all be it from the briefest of glances - how it got validated. It was patently obvious to anyone ITK that the ‘stand’ would not be remotely ready for the start of the season if due process was followed. I’m not even sure pp will be granted tbh.

I'm not ITK or even involved with anything to do with building and/or obtaining planning permission, but to be fair anybody that doesn't live with their heads buried in the sand would probably realise that that stand was never going to be ready for the start of the season.

Unless of course you're deluded....

Mike Hunt is looking forward to it.

Also in an unrelated note, if your name is Mike Hunt and you have a Hotmail address, you'll probably get some junk mail soon...
