"There will be three sides and there will be three phases. That is something that we hope we can finance. We hope we can find banks or other financial institutions who can finance this because it will hopefully increase the revenue. All of this is to sustain the club and increase the revenue and keep the sport budget as high as possible. It is very important to get our stadium done well,"

So apparently planning permission for the new stand has been fast tracked and should be granted in 2 weeks. Just goes to show that if you do it right by the rules you get objections and  constant delays but just go and build it without planning and it gets accepted.

I think what’s been ‘fast-tracked’ is the re-submitted application. In other words they didn’t make that new one go right to the back of the queue, but just replaced the old one with it.

That old one was originally due to be put to Councillors mid October: it’s now going to be mid November.

They’ll get consent; there was never any realistic doubt about that. We can’t be sure til the meeting agrees it whether or what conditions will be applied.

Spot on. The imbeciles won't see it like that though.

There is no way this can be allowed to drift to page 2. Their situation will always be funnier than ours.

They shot themselves in both feet and we laughed at them………..then we proceeded to shoot ourselves in the head. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Someone will be getting a nice back-hander there. Doubtless in used, slightly sandy, US dollars.......

Not funnier, just different in terms of potential, aa ours & theirs are now chalk & cheese.

However what we have in common is we both have owners who are making a complete mess of it, but in a totally different way.

Considering the deluded idiots were talking about Wilder, Rowett, Warnock John Eustace and Graham Potter that would probably come as a bit of a disappointment to them 🤣

Whoever gets the job at Ragass Rovers will be a huge improvement on that little thug.

It'll be someone who is professional (at least in comparison) and can give interviews without making personal snide remarks about his own players or the opposition manager or club.

Can you see them appointing Holden?

I’d be amazed, but the only thing that makes me doubt it is the ownership. They won’t really understand the rivalry between us & them, and will maybe think ‘well we’ve had a squad full of their ex players, so what’s the big deal?’

Why would Dean go there? Is he desperate for work?  Always thought he had a decent reputation in the game.

A section of their fans will be on his back like a ton of bricks when they go through a rough patch.

I think he’s someone who always wants to be in work, and believe he kept his house in Portishead too. He’s always been extremely big on doing media work when he left here and since leaving Charlton. Think even yesterday it was posted tbat he’s appearing on the latest Tifo podcast next week, which is The Athletic’s biggest show.
