Pezo
Not a surprise, we had moments of flirting with the relegation places this season and with our financial situation we're likely to be weaker next season, or a potential points deduction. If we can get through next season without being relegated then things will start to get better. But guessing at this point when this year's competition hasn't even finished is a bit of a waste of time, you might as well be guessing on 2030 because a lot will change between now and the start of the season.
Port Said Red
That looks like a bookies opening spread before any bets are placed. It looks to be based purely on league position, although what on earth they have seen in Hull City to place them in the top 10 is anybody's guess.
robin for life
Watford - 7/1 Norwich City - 8/1 West Brom - 9/1 Sheffield United - 10/1 Sunderland - 20/1 Luton Town - 25/1 Bristol City - 40/1 Have a bet on all of them at all those prices, 20%, 20%, 15%, 15%, 10%, 10%, 10%, pretty much nailed on to deliver a profit to bank imo. Surprised the top line of the market is so high, 7/1 the field looks rather big to me.

This is Skybets spread. https://m.skybet.com/football/sky-bet-championship/event/29301891 Also not sure how you can give odds before the play off final is completed. ralphindevon
Norwich and Watford have been so poor it wouldn’t look good on the championship if they bounced straight back up. Has the gap really widened that much? Probably.

Robbored
Bookies odds at this time of the year are guesswork based solely on last season league position and we all know how unreliable that is. No consideration into which clubs have lost experienced players or those that have recruited well. It’s pretty ridiculous when you think about it.

The Coach
No issue with me. That will be our target again in my eyes, to avoid relegation. Do that, and I think come 23/24 season we can start to aim higher.
Sturny
Not sure why people are confused. From the outside looking in we've been sliding down the table over the years getting closer. If we sell off our talent this summer (which looks likely to people as we're seen to have financial trouble) and don't recruit well it could well be game over. We're seen to make silly signings like Chris Brunt or Danny Simpson so I could understand why someone could bet on it with an outside look in. Obviously us fans know better, our state on the pitch has actually improved. Edited May 26, 2022 by Sturny

Monkeh
Odds mean nothing, it isn't bookies predictions it's punters betting patterns, If I lump 1k on us to win the championship now, our odds would be slashed significantly 18 minutes ago, bs3 said: I’m sticking £500 for us to go down , easy money, there is no way we are staying up without investment in the squad.
