Millwall at home match thread

We’ve got what we deserved from that half e.g. nothing? Not a single shot on target or a corner.

Millwall playing simple, direct and effective stuff whereas we look disconnected, lacking ideas and movement.

Christ this is awful. Need Naismith back yesterday. The attack is pathetic, has Sykes managed to make 2 successful passes in a row? Dasilva looks non league, still haven’t learned how to defend…. This game looks lost. As per, Alex Scott the only decent one out there.

We had ample opportunities to clear after max O Leary saved it initially . To me we are missing  naismith hugely and James , as they both can bring it out aswell as Scott but teams have sussed if you double mark Scott we are pushed to the wings and we aren't effective enough through random crosses from the wingbacks . Our only plan b seems to be balls lofted to Semenyo .

Too many mistakes in our attacking play, too many free kicks conceded in dangerous areas. The front three is not working as it should and we are struggling against their physicality so the first sub to do is surely getting Martin on the pitch for Semenyo or Conway. Other changes I'd make are Sykes in the Weimann role with Tanner on the right (not the first time I suggest it, but Nigel doesn't listen ? ) and Pring for Dasilva.

Team is extremely shallow. Keep getting opened up down the left. Sykes often not tracking back.

I'm addition, giving them too much space to play.... In a way that they are giving us when we try to play out of the back.

Got to stop the lumping it forward. We never win the second ball. Sine football... More movement..... Press.

It's Conway's turn then. Some going for a 20 year old in his first extended period of first team football.

He's been poor so far today as he was the other night. Or should we say he's been great because he's young?

TBF He has been really poor today, bullied by their defenders and caught flat-footed several times, everybody wants him to do well but surely Wells would offer a lot more right now?

Playing a wing back system where neither wing back can cross the ball is doomed. Dasilva is a complete and utter waste of a shirt at the moment - atleast Sykes offers something until he has to deliver the final ball.

Surely Pring deserves his chance now.

This is all so predictable..

We have had seasons of a few games showing real promise only to slip back to the same old same old.

Why?  Grass too long, drinking culture, older players seeing out their time in slow old Bristol, young players who begin by promising much and then ……. (Burns, Massengo).
