Still came out as last batsmen in considerable pain to try and help Netherlands win the game. And the great thing for him is, even though they lost, they still go through because the UAE beat Namibia (tremendous finish that one was too)

MichaelRobartes
Brilliant Ireland. Screw the ICC. Let's grow the game by having a ludicrously convoluted pre-tournament to exclude the smaller nations. Reaping the whirlwind now.

Thankfully the next T20 World Cup will have 20 teams in it, without this pre tournament qualifying stage. The 50 over World Cup unfortunately remaining a ten team round robin though, which, fair play to the ICC, must be the worst format for any World Cup in any sport. And the ICC’s great idea seems to have backfired somewhat, leaving them with egg on their faces as West Indies fly back. I know and understand perfectly that WI are not the force they were, but they are surely still a team people want to watch, especially in T20 cricket. Still, best of luck to the ‘minor’ nations.

PHILINFRANCE
NZ off to a fine start. 46/0 after three overs, Devon Conway almost a passenger.
Lanterne Rouge
This is an incredible start from the Kiwis. They could be winning the match right here. They just seem to be seeing it like it`s a beach ball. Any idea what the record for runs in a power play is? Shame. Allen gone for 42. They play the game the right way and with a smile. For a side with only two `world class` players in Williamson and Boult they don`t half punch above their weight.
Sheltons Army
Thought they might have been flexible and brought Phillips in , instead of Williamson , after that start If they’d lost another quick then Williamson could have come in

PHILINFRANCE
Australia 5/1 chasing 201. David Warner has just been bowled, but try and have a look at his dismissal if you didn't see it live - off his bat, then his pad and then off the back of his bat before hitting the stumps.
