Jeremy Clarkson, co-star on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, also has links to Rotherham. He trained to become a journalist at the ‘Rotherham Advertiser’ in the early 1980s.

As did comedy writer David Nobbs, who went on to write the Reginald Perrin TV series. Nobbs fictionalised his time as a young reporter in 1960s Rotherham, in his book "Pratt of the Argus", which I highly recommend if you like a laugh.

Great write up again JB… 3-1 to us, we’re better than them.

Didn’t we sign John Galley from them back in the day?

Yes we did. Also signed Kieran Agard, Ryan Taylor, Mark Robins (on loan), Shaun Goater, Martin Scott and (for the older supporters Ken Waterhouse from them

Useful for me to go back and look at the last team.

O’Leary, Vyner, King, Pring, Weimann, James, Scott, Williams, Dasilva, Conway (Semenyo 65), Wells

Subs: Bentley, Atkinson, Massengo, Sykes, Martin, Bell

I'd definitely forgotten that Pring was involved against Watford. Today's team is still a little bit makeshift, but it's good to have Naismith back.

         Tanner. King. Naismith

Scott. Williams.  James.  Pring

                   Weimann

              Wells. Conway.

could be Tanner, Naismith, Pring in the back 3
