Rotherham United away match thread

Looking at that team I'm guessing:

GK - O'Leary
LWB - Pring
CB - Naismith
CB - King
CB - Tanner
RWB - Scott/Weimann
CM - James
CM - Williams
AM - Weimann/Scott
ST - Conway
ST - Wells

Most likely with Weimann as RWB?

I honestly don't know what to make of that line up. What's happened to Kane Wilson? Is he injured or just not being given a chance?

tanner.     King.        Naysmith.   Pring

                        Scott

 weinman.      Conway.        Wells.

Seems strange to have King in a back 4 with Atkinson on the bench

Four month injury in October. Back late Jan/early Feb I think.

Cheers, I assumed it must have been long term, I really hope he is that RWB we've been needing for a long time now when he's back.

I’d guess back 4, as it’s written?

I wonder if we’ll see some upsets today. Could almost act like a new mini season now, teams have had 3 weeks to get bad form and whatever out of their system. Plenty of time to work on tactics, recover from injuries etc

Aby previous form goes out the window to some extent today

illness or not, that’s still a hell of a risk given A) how Rotherham play and B) how Matty Taylor teams play

Rotherham a bit different these days Pete....Ogbene will play up on his own probably....Rathbone off of him.  No Michael Smith or Matt "Fellaini" Crooks these days, but we will have to still watch out for Barlaser's set-pieces.

Expect them to line-up:

Johansson

Peltier Wood Harding

Brooks-Cuffy Barlaser Lindsay Bramall

Rathbone Wiles

Ogbene

They do, but Taylor’s Exeter were still physical and direct AF, we’re notoriously bad against teams like those. Hopefully we just don’t get dragged into it.

We must be strong if we can bench a World Cup forward!  Who would ever think it?

Let's be fair, didn't score, barely played and has looked pretty average at best when he's played.
Semenyo is an odd one, so much raw talent but he doesn't suit our playstyle at all so he rarely gets out of first gear. If we had a player capable of playing those passes into his stride we'd see a lot more out of him but we don't play those passes, we play passing to feet and Semenyo is better running onto a ball than he is receiving it and getting going. If I was setting up against him I'd get my players to stand him up, and when he's off the ball give him a yard to receive the ball to his feet as he struggles to go from a stand still to running which is where he is best.
