FA Cup fifth round draw in full

Here is a recap of all the FA Cup fifth round fixtures, to be played between February 27 and March 2.

  • Southampton vs Luton Town or Grimsby Town
  • Leicester City vs Blackburn Rovers or Birmingham City
  • Stoke City vs Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Wrexham or Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur
  • Fulham or Sunderland vs Leeds United
  • Bristol City vs Manchester City
  • Manchester United vs Derby County or West Ham United
  • Ipswich Town or Burnley vs Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town

Thank goodness it’s being played after the transfer window closes.. we could’ve ended up losing half of our team to the prem after we win this one. No replay too, correct? Here come those penalties..

PROS

Some of the best players in the world will be playing af Ashton Gate.

Guaranteed sell out crowd and ££££.

Good publicity

A great learning curve for our players to face a team of that quality.

CONS

Not particularly winnable.

Potential distraction from the league.

Hangers on and day trippers will be scrounging for tickets.

Can’t really complain overall.

Cons

And scousers seeling half and half scarves

Every tie at this stage is televised, even if it's on iPlayer, so we'd be on regardless of who we got.

I didn’t know that, thank you. Are the ties Tuesday & Wednesday only

it will 100% be televised.

I would expect

Man Utd v whoever

Wrexham / Sheff Utd v Spurs

If Sunderland beat Fulham that to be televised v Leeds

The 2018 team v MC in my opinion had a bit more about them than current squad. As long as we don’t get embarrassed I will be happy and put in a decent performance
