A few years ago Barcelona were in for Max Aarons - loan with obligation to buy, fee c£20m. He’s gone to Bournemouth today for £7m. Now, noting that fullbacks will fetch less than CMs, it’s a lesson in selling at maximum value. There’s an argument on view of his contract that we’re doing that with Alex as although I think he’s worth more, if we can’t get a buyer now at a higher price, we may not in 6 months and certainly won’t in 12 - function of being a mid table championship team.
