Really good first half by us but unfortunately have not scored while we have been the much better team in the half... A bit more composure and could have been a few up...

We started well and then allowed ourselves to be dragged down to their level.

We are the better side so far, just lacking quality for the last ball. Bell, in particular, been wasteful. Weimann having little impact.

King has been our best player.

City, robust in the tackle and able to play slickly from back to front with King the star man.

If only we could match our great approach play with a decent final ball.

How poor were Sheffield United?

Can they be that bad in the second half?

Can City score?

Based on this showing a draw is the least we should get.

We are so much better on the eye than the team of a couple of years ago. Passing well and zipping it around.

Having said that a match of very few real chances. Mainly down to our inability to cross. Coming together however and encouraging regardless of final result today. Would have been easy just to get steamrollered today.

They are very one-dimensional aren't they. We just need to up our quality in the final third a bit.

It depends who’s playing that final ball, I guess. And part of the problem is that our front three of recent weeks don’t have that understanding or just that knack that, say, Wells and Conway have of finding each other just where they expect to be found. Earlier in the season, when those two were playing up front, we often looked less convincing in our approach play but would still get goals out of nowhere.

Sound half. Not got bullied, tidy passing. Final ball poor, suspect partly as there’s not a great deal to aim at. Encouraging though.

If we can improve our crossing and general play around the box there’s no reason why we can’t be a top 6 side

Playing well really impressed by king is his recent performances yes he won't last more than 60 but that consistency of playing alongside James has been good , he has been a lot better than last year . 

Like to see Sykes on ASAP we just lack width on the right nothing against cornick but sykes is alot more positive on the right coming from deep and has a better partnership with Tanner . 

Overall we kept utd very quiet just like the home game but hopefully with the final product this time .

Having watched us play against Sheffield Utd at Ashton Gate and now 45 mins again tonight plus a few games on TV, I have absolutely no idea how they are second. 

Against us they have looked one of the poorer teams we've played this season.

Half wonder if a few of the Sheff Utd players have half an eye on the FA Cupsemi at the weekend. Been very passive so far. Surely they must come out second half with a bit more about them.

To be fair to Weimann, we've been playing with a bit of width in the first half so most of the ball has being going down the flanks to Cornick or Bell. King and James have been dominent in the middle so Weimann's not seing much of the ball. I think he does nee to push in to the box a bit more aggresively and give their defenders something extra to think about.

Bell hasn't stopped over hitting the ball all game so far. As people have said above, we just need that little bit more composure.

I can't fault the energy though. We're moving really well as a team. Everyone's getting back and supporting. It doesn't look anything like a nothing game for us.

Hopefully we can maintain that energy in the second half. COYR.

Decent first half from us.  Limiting Berge getting on the ball, and their threat is long ball into McBurnie, to flick to Ndiaye.  Generally we’ve dealt with that easily.

From our point of view, can we stop hitting it down Jack Robinson’s throat?  Rather go right down the middle or to Bell (v Baldock).

Bell wasteful.  King excellent, Tanner excellent, Vyner excellent.

It was. The type that always goes unpunished in the Championship due to no VAR.

If we try and play a better early cross into the box, someone needs to peel off and attack the near post to drag defenders out of position. Bit too easy for United to defend so far.
