Major Isewater Posted July 28, 2023 Report Share Posted July 28, 2023 Just a little bit of gossip from France . Massengo turned down Burnley because he wanted more chance of playing. His loan spell at Auxerre went well enough to alert several Ligue 1 clubs , AS Monaco, Lorient amongst the names mentioned recently. Nothing concrete as yet . He has expressed a desire to play in the Prem ( which footballer hasn’t ? ) but I can’t see him getting a gig there just yet if he wants regular starts. That is likely to put a few clubs off, and if he is looking to play games then he might be better off setting his sights a bit lower as no matter how hard he has trained, all players seem to go on about the value of pre-season.
