Mr Popodopolous
Did a bit of key word search and I dunno if this is true but apparently players Dai Yongge deemed lucky he would pay them whatever they asked for! I forget the criteria but read Ornstein said it a few years back. He certainly turned down big bids. Moore, Swift, possibly Loader.

Mr Popodopolous
Thinking about it, my sympathy towards fans of Reading and other over extending clubs is somewhat tempered. They cheered Dai Yongge, plenty of them laughed, made the usual early puns when things were going well. They probably quite enjoyed loaning players such as Rahman, Drinkwater then again Rahman and Casadei under an FFP fail embargo. They rode the wave, they'll probably remain solvent. As such my sympathy is tempered. I reckon they enjoyed turning down bids for Moore (dunno where he is now), Swift (left on free), Loader (left on free or for minor fee). Mr Popodopolous
Reportedly the Bearwood deal is on pause at least. Some kind of planning condition since early on that only Reading can use it.
Mr Popodopolous
A taster of Reading fans during the good times under Dai Yongge. https://twitter.com/search?src=typed_query&q=Dai Yongge until%3A2021-02-10 since%3A2019-08-02 Oh how they all laughed!! (Well not all but you get the idea).
fgrsimon
The manager seems to be doing very well there, taking into account all that's been going on off the field. If they don't get any more deductions they should stay up this season.

Markthehorn
Potentially some good news in the near future for Reading fans? https://twitter.com/ReadingFC/status/1772624547629457734
Mr Popodopolous
Feels like they are getting off the hook a bit easily really. They flew too close to the sun, they got burnt...Most of the fans cheered as Dai Yongge steered them towards financial calamity. They approved of an ethos of Live Fast Dai Yongge. Mind you they're far from an outlier. Edited March 26 by Mr Popodopolous
