True, but Sam Mason was far worse

I remember an early game during the 99/2000 season when she was pitchside, attempting to give an award to Shaun Taylor, just as the match was about to start.

The referee gave Ms. Mason a steely look and she mumbled an apology over the tannoy. Priceless!

Downsy is a bit like the club shop, every year it’s so bad you think at least it’ll get sorted in the summer and it’ll be much better next season.

But nothing ever changes.

What a stupid comment. It does change…….It gets worse.

Also find it really frustrating when he kind of mumbles the opposition substitutions because they are the other team. I would rather know who was going off and coming on regardless of team. Of course you don't have to state it in an upbeat voice, but speak clearly so we actually know who we are playing against.

Agreed, I say this every game!

Seems like there are about 5 people in this thread complaining about "woke" people who are terribly offended by the jokes... none of whom actually seem to exist in reality? Nobody actually gives a shit?

I reckon a load of you have some kind of weird persecution fetish.

They seem to fixate in popping up in totally unrelated subjects, spouting that nonsense and then becoming precious when challenged on it. Then they somehow conclude that this means they were right?

Almost as strange as our stadium announcer still being employed despite being persistently inept for some time now...

Bloody hell thats a blast from the past, seen here acting not particularly lady like in the lions a couple of times.

I'm reminded of some mad nights in the Brunel wine bar, early noughties, with Sam and her coterie. Let's just say Clifton Village's 'genteel and classy' reputation was tested to the limit at times. A certain Keith Valle was also on the scene, but that's another story.

I knew Sam before she got into presenting and she worked on reception in one of the casino's I worked in. Let's just say she was able to handle herself.... :fear:

Not only was Downsey awful again, the sound system in the south stand has definitely deteriated since last season.

Same in the dolman.

Fortunately cant really hear downsy and most things now have subtitles on the screen.

I don’t know who has decided to turn the crap pre-match music up to eleven but please stop.  Seven nation army straining distorted through those speakers is painful.
