Birmingham have sold 2500 tickets and are requesting more for next Saturdays game ensuring another bumper gate and great atmosphere at Ashton gate COYR

Birmingham travel really well , put us to shame really , we get bigger home crowds but they nearly always sell out when away whether that’s due to there location in the country I don’t know obviously helps .

I do remember travelling to Birmingham once I don’t think Birmingham will forget that ,massive away following 4-1 victory

if you know you know ??

Location and probably a lot more top flight history may help. They do travel well, we travel well to West Country, London, Reading, and West Midlands- occasionally the South Coast or parts of South East too ie MK Dons a few years.

Not really North of the West Midlands or much East of London in the main.

I really didn’t like the focus on them, I thought it was a highlights show?

Every week they are gonna host the programme from a ground…and give that club a lot of focus.  Last week it was Plymouth’s turn.  As long as we get our 10 minutes at some point, that’s fine by me.  If it starts becoming a wonk-fest over certain clubs then that will annoy me.

Thanks I hadn’t realised this was going to be a regular part of programme as missed it last week. Assumed focus was due to Brady involvement.

Is it from across the whole 72 that they're choosing? If so presumably there will be 30 or so clubs who don't get a visit?

Really tough game this one. We don’t historically do well against this lot - although we have faired a little better in recent years compared to usual

A point wouldn’t be a disaster

First three league games all a bit similar for us. Three teams I would expect to be in the middle third come the end of the season, all established and never give us an easy game. More of the same from the first two I would expect.

A month or two ago I thought Preston and Birmingham would struggle. Preston have made since then some solid signings and Birmingham fans confidence pre season much higher with new owners and a bit of cash from the Bellingham sale.

Birmingham won on Saturday with a 91st minute winner, us in the 94th. Identical records, albeit on two games, and in the table ‘as it stands’ they sneak ahead of us by being one of the few teams to beat us alphabetically, damn them.

Anything other than a close game will be a shock, fingers crossed we sneak it. If a BCFC comes out of this match with 7 points from the first 3, they will be delighted!

Should have sent them down a few seasons back.

Doesn’t help if they have Tom Brady throwing missile balls 60 yards up the pitch. I presume that’s why Birmingham have called him in as a specialist goalkeeper substitute or at least coaching on goalkeeper distribution… (I’m kidding!). To be fair to the EFL programme, they did ask if bringing over Tom Brady was just a publicity stunt.

God knows what Brady thought of St Andrews when he arrived. It’s been like the Championship version of the Mem with large parts sectioned off that can’t be used etc. Hardly the trillion dollar stadiums of the NFL!

As for Brummies in Weston, you have to remember that these people have no idea what seawater is supposed to look like, having been brought up in the Midlands, so they all flock to the first place going south with a “sandy” (I.e. sand laid down on top of a load of estuary mud) beach.
