How did they know that the UK had been attacked by Russia and the order to retaliate was genuine? The solution was simple - surface and try to listen to BBC Radio 4. If this was off air then the UK had been wiped out as the BBC is never off air. I was beginning to get a similar feeling when OTIB was offline for so long.
