Jose Posted October 21, 2023 Share Posted October 21, 2023 Get in. I really don’t know what to make of that. Very strange. I get we have injuries but by god the first 40 minutes was an utter mess. We looked all over the place. Once we finally changed it, we looked alot more organised and for all their possession they didn’t look like scoring. Why not just look to pass the ball around. We just kept hoofing it to their centre half’s to recycle possession. @Davefevs there must be some pretty poor passing stats there. I can’t remember the last time we struggled to pass the ball. If I was a Cov fan I’d be fuming with my team after that. Dickie ( who looks a great signing) and King standouts. Knight made a big difference. A massive win but painful to watch. After that 30 minute blitz, they made the right change and the only way we win that is to make the game scruffy which we did fantastically. Second half we kept them at arms length. Dickie was quality, sykes is a warrior, pring shaky at times but did great in the end. In fairness we did not trouble them much either, but we were a goal up and it was up to them to make something happen. Dickie MOTM but Pring was excellent too, good performances by King and Sykes, more hard work than quality from the others, included Yeboah, who did some clever tackles.
