brady bunch
I really think the wider fan base are not as bothered as many of the posters on here about NP. I am a bit sad he is gone myself, but will be 100% behind the lads Saturday. and will not be having a go at the owners for doing what they see as the right thing for our club! I am assuming 99.9% of fans want the team to do well, regardless of who the gaffer is. 1
54-46
I guess JL may be there, as after his interview today I assume he's in Bristol and not on a beach somewhere, but surely he's just his Dad's puppet and I'd be surprised if the main main will be there to hear anything? Nor do they seem to fully appreciate that he was slowly building the foundations to push us towards the top of the table even without any money or support from above. Midlands Robin
How about a bit of Wurzels action? (to the tune of "Don't tell I tell ee") Well I've never needed school, never needed college Got a rich dad so life ain't bad. I don't need no football knowledge I never couldn't see the point of Nigel P. 'Cos I'm the Chair, so I don't care, So don't tell I, tell 'E! Don't tell I, tell 'E, that's my philosophy When fans do swear, and tear their hair, Don't tell I, tell 'E! Old Brian T one day, told me how we should play. If we don't press, we'll be in a mess, said Nige "Do it my way." He just glared at me, and I hollered "Leave I be, 'You'll have to leave, said my Dad Steve," So don't blame I, blame 'E!

Been sang so many times in years gone by. One of my personal faves was directed at Johnny Byrne playing for Sunderland. He ended up sticking at least 1 finger up to the East End. Days!! Ha ha I remember the Jonny Byrne chant - it went on and on .. to the extent I remember it being sang in the next game !!

Magicdaps
Personally feel that pro-NP songs are the way to go if you want to voice an opinion on things, plus that could also have a galvanising effect on the players, rather than anti-Lansdown songs which I think could do the opposite in terms of impacting the wider atmosphere. Some might say that that would let our illustrious owners off the hook, but it sends the same message, just in a way that could also help the team.

I think a lot of posts on this thread have got it wrong! We're clearly going up with the squad we've got and now that we've got rid of Nige, therefore we should sing "we are going up" regardless of what the score is !!
