People are sticking up for him saying he did a bit of defending for 10 minutes FFS.

One pass straight to him went under his foot, & his crossing has been absolutely dire.

Kakay is one of the worst full backs in the league, so take him on FFS, he’s making him look like peak Bradley Orr.

His defensive work has been enough that I’d not criticise him for a lack of defensive work but certainly not enough that I’d praise him for it. He’s chased back and tried to get a couple of tackles in, and he might have got one in successfully once but nothing beyond the minimum expectation of application you expect from any player.

Attacking-wise, nothing has worked for him at all.

The QPR winger does everything that Mehmeti should be doing. Head up, not frightened of going wide and having a go at Pring. Mehmeti permanently coming backwards possibly because he lacks the pace to get past his fb....we have no threat upfront at all.

One has been given two or three yards by Tanner, the other has had Kalas very tight.  When Tanner got tight in the 41st min, he took the ball off him.

1st half summary:

Thought we moved the ball around the back at a better tempo, and have actually got Pring receiving much higher up, but he’s not been able to get past Smyth, who’s been a bit of a pest.

James and Knight starting positions opening were good, made sure they didn’t sit too close to Dickie and Vyner.

Press is as a team, been pretty good.

Not much more to add.

In other news, Oxford are 2-0 up away from home and Lee Johnson has 3-0 up at home to Exeter. A team looking like they were sprinting to relegation before he arrived are on the way to recording their 6th win since he arrived. His record currently 5 wins, 4 draws* and 3 defeats. (* = lost on penalties). League record 12 pts from a possible 24, about to be 15pts from a possible 27, meaning 15pts from 9 games. A team who had 1pt before he arrived, are 45 minutes from getting out the relegation zone..... Many, may not like him, but no one can deny he's currently doing a blinding job there.

It's almost like it won't last forever and when it doesn't it'll be the exact opposite for 9 games.

Nonsense, him and his old man, have got us closer to the top flight than anyone else. He's not as bad a manager as people think he is. When he was appointed at Fleetwood, this forum was littered we've people saying they would be relegated by January, and he would never keep them up.... Had Covid not happened, he would have taken us up that year, we were bang up there until the pandemic came along and our season fell apart.

I'd say the football has been similar to Pearsons football give the bloke more than 45mins lads yeah?

I’m not seeing posts criticising Manning, just people pointing out the game and our performance has been shite so far. It’s not Mannings fault we have Dumb and Dumber running the operation I totally agree.

Spent more money than any other Manager in my lifetime LJ did and still couldn't make the playoffs. He has his time and we were regressing badly at the end.

That is just utter drivel.
