Then I bow to your superior ability to accurately assess the crowd today. I wasn’t aware of anyone at the time, nor anyone else since, who shares your surprise. The one today seemed to emanate from A block dolman. Thats not to slag off that song or those that sing it, but each song has a time and place. For example, corners should always be greeted with a booming come on you reds, but sadly these days the song which is currently being sung continues to be sang at corners, even if it’s something like the Cornick song. How else could he get the information? I’m just saying that he’s given an attendance figure, there’s no reason to doubt it, it’s not an obvious error, so he read it out. To use your analogy, it’s a bit like someone picking up endless speeding and dangerous driving offences, and then getting banned for driving 10 metres in a bus lane whilst getting out of the way of an ambulance.
