Super
Euro 96 was just behing Italia 90 as my favourite tournament. The performance against the Dutch was one of the great England performances. RIP Terry
!james
England v Scotland at Euro 96 was my first game at Wembley as a youngster! Remember it well, and the atmosphere made me really fall in love with football even more than I already had. Venables was a great coach and had a great personality, they don't make them like that anymore

Roger Red Hat
When I was a lad I had a pair of 'Terry Venables' boots with molded studs. Quite new fangled at the time! RIP to a very intelligent footballer and coach.

It was a joy to see England playing slick attacking football. TV was a slick attacking player which transferred perfectly into his managerial roles. He was very charismatic as well. His departure is a sad loss……..

RIP Terry Oh I think we have, beating Germany 1-5 in Germany springs to mind immediately, but I know what you mean. We could even afford to let Bergkamp score the consolation goal that stopped the Scots from progressing out of the group.
Bristol Rob
Sad news, Euro96 changed football in the UK. The Christmas Tree formation was evidently ahead of its time.

bcfc01
I once was in the hospitality area at Chelsea (the de Matteo suite as was) and there were a lot of faces in there. Turned out that I was sat next to TV in the seats outside the suite. It was like a condensed tactical course sat next to him and what a down to earth nice bloke he was and a real football man. RIP TV.
